Little Darlings is red hot right now being the #1 movie for the 3rd weekend in a row and doing it in a dominating fashion. Little Darlings was able to beat this weekend's new offerings from New Line's Freddy Kruger and Universal's Life with Axl in the first crowded weekend its faced since releasing into theaters back on July 3rd, 2014. Little Darlings has replaced Jenny Sniper II as the go to movie of the summer garnering $631 million in its first 18 days of release for Paramount Pictures which is the second fastest movie to reach that amount in the history of the NITRO box office only behind behind Jenny Sniper II. ICE announced recently that a sequel will be made and come out in the summer of 2017.
Freddy Kruger from New Line Cinema opened up this weekend to $63 million as the legendary horror franchise was rebooted by Warner Bros. this year as NBC's new horror drama television series His Favorite Niece star Danielle Harris stars in the film battling the sleep demon himself Fred Kruger. This is a nice start for the horror film and so far the biggest opening of the year in the genre and will be rivaled in a month by Paramount's own reboot of the Friday the 13th franchise These Are Jason's Woods. Universal's new comedy Life with Axl opened up in 3rd place making $36 million which was below I Love Lucy's $51 million from the month before but this was still a decent start for Life with Axl considering the crowded weekend. Life with Axl had a star studded cast but that was not enough to beat Little Darlings or Freddy Kruger this weekend.

Little Darlings just surpassed Bad News Bears vs. Hooters Chicks which I think is the third largest grossing movie of the year so far so Bridget Satterlee has two major blockbusters this year. I haven't checked yet but I know for sure Bridget has a movie or two coming this fall to theaters. I gotta rework my fall theatrical schedule as I worked on it the last time the box office numbers were released.
Freddy Kruger survived Little Darlings and Life with Axl but I thought about moving either Freddy or Jason to Halloween time but I already got two horror movies coming out in the fall and didn't want to overload with three horror titles. If I knew Little Darlings was going to be this huge, this would've been my only July release. Freddy would've done even better had it not come out in July. Freddy should've had come out in June over 10.5 as 10.5 was a bit of a box office flop for us as it's not getting to more than $250 million which was the original expectation. It's probably only got a weekend or two left at the theaters. The good news is that Foxes has far succeeded our expectations getting more than $400 million at the box office. Foxes did very well coming out the weekend after Jenny Sniper 2's release so I figured Freddy Kruger would be okay coming out two weekends behind Little Darlings but again I was only expecting Little Darlings to do very similar to either Bad News Bears vs. Hooters Chicks or Foxes. The coming of age genre is doing very well this year at the box office.
ROD if Sheila Carter vs. Lauren Fenmore is successful this summer at the box office you should do a Sheila Carter vs. Brooke Logan sequel or NBC can release it as I let NBC release I Love Lucy.
Here's our overall or total box office expectations for every summer movie:
Jenny Sniper II (5/16/14) - $1 billion (SURPASSED) Foxes (5/23/14) - $225 million (SURPASSED) 10.5 (6/20/14) - $250 million (FAILED) Little Darlings (7/3/14) - $500 million (SURPASSED)
Freddy Kruger (7/18/14) - $300 million The O.C. Movie (8/1/14) - $175 million These Are Jason's Woods (8/15/14) - $400 million

Little Darlings has been an absolute beast as it's destined to hit $1 billion like Jenny Sniper 2 easily
Freddy Kruger did about what i thought it would do although i do agree with ICE it likely does better away from Little Darlings first few weeks
Life with Axl did a little bit better than i thought
I Shot the Sheriff is a bomb in my opinion it should've done way better than it did but She's So Superstitious is a hit as its outlasted I Love Lucy and could surpass 10.5 which is ICE's biggest flop of the summer more than likely
i can't wait to see how Sheila Carter v Lauren Fenmore does next week

Little Darlings is doing absolutely amazing as it's doing way better than anybody expected but it shows that Bridget Satterlee is becoming the next Allison Shields right now as she's becoming a must see star in NITRO in anything she's in. I'm looking forward to how Little Darlings finishes its box office run as it surpassed The Bad News Bears from what I've noticed. Freddy Kruger is doing well out of the gate but it should be interesting to see how much it makes before Jason comes out and I agree with you guys, Freddy probably makes closer to $80 million opening weekend if it opens in a different time of year.
Life with Axl did okay-ish but NBC hasn't had a huge hit all year for their films like ROD and ICE have had so they need to look for a huge hit before the year is over.
I think the biggest ROD movie of the summer will be this Sheila Carter movie coming out next weekend by that point Little Darlings will be in its 4th week and it's already getting closer to getting below $50 million so it shouldn't have too much of an impact on everything else.

Little Darlings did some damage out here as I wished I would've known it was going to be this strong because I would've delayed the release of I Shot the Sheriff to the fall as it's looking like a box office bomb now.
I think Sheila Carter vs Lauren Fenmore will be ok next week since it's coming out 3 weeks after Little Darlings and D. Stiles was right it's getting closer to $50 million so it won't effect the other movies like it the first 2-3 weeks of its run.
