BIGGEST WFL GAMES OF THE DAY PREVIEW
Paris Bulldogs (0-2) @ Norwood Octans (2-0)

Kickoff Time: 12:03 PM EST (12:03 PM EST/Local Time)

Game Preview: The Paris Bulldogs travel west across the Atlantic Ocean to meet their new ocean rivals the Norwood Octans for the first time as the Bulldogs come in looking for their first win of the season meanwhile the Octans are looking to stay undefeated. In the second-ever game in franchise history for the Norwood Octans and their new crown jewel of a stadium Air Canada Park this crowd, up in Norwood have proven to be one of the loudest of the league creating a tough environment for opponents. Paris comes in with quite a few changes made in the past week to their roster after their 0-2 start as the main move is their starting quarterback Jenna McConnell who is on the way out after this game for Vika Bronova who was acquired by the team earlier this week. Since Vika Bronova also had to change studios she wasn't eligible to play for Paris this week so she will have to wait until next week's game against the New Orleans Originals at home forcing Jenna to make one last start this afternoon for the Bulldogs. Paris also acquired Yulia Osmond and her older brother Joel who both previously played with the Toronto Icegals to start this new season and just like Vika they'll have to wait until next week as well. Atlanta Legacies corner Noor Van Der Beek will likely be traded to the Bulldogs this upcoming week as well. The one player in today's game who will be eligible to play who was traded earlier this week from the Los Angeles Stars was Gigi Hadid who had a full week of practice with her new team in the Paris Bulldogs as she will see action today. Gigi Hadid literally started the season as the LA Stars starting QB and after she choked a 28-3 lead to the Seattle Jewel she was removed in favor of Hailee Steinfeld plus she wasn't getting along with her old boss at ROD Lucy Hale either so she knew she was getting traded soon. Here in Paris, they will have Gigi backing up running back Topanga Jamora but Gigi will see a lot of action and see some carries and get some short-distance passes from Jenna. The story in today's game is on the Norwood side of things where the most anticipated rookie debut we have left is Michi Kat Grimes who will make her WFL debut today after being incarcerated the last couple of years or so. MKG will play EDGE rusher and be the immediate replacement for Eva Adams who has moved onto the Vancouver Grizzlies so MKG will be asked to help lead this defense. Octans starting QB Amanda Marleau has had a nice start to her season as her fellow rookie Keri Nee Adkins leads the team in receiving production. This is going to be a tough game for both teams as Paris is a team in transition with their roster moves while Norwood loses Eva Adams and will have to find a way to adapt and feed off their crowd's energy. Paris is still the overall favorite to win the match.

TV Announcers (NBC): Mike Tirico (play-by-play), Tony Dungy (color commentator), Rodney Harrison (color commentator), Mike Florio (sideline reporter)
Game Preview: Just like in the Paris and Norwood matchup we have two teams who are either undefeated or winless so something's gotta give in this matchup as the London Invasion come in hot winning their first two games of the season meanwhile the Quebec Nordiques come in losing their first two games of the season to potential playoff teams. The Invasion is coming off of a close victory 24-17 last week to Chicago in their home opener while the Nordiques are coming off of an embarrassing defeat to Boston 35-17 in their home opener last week. Starting off with Montreal here, they have made some big changes since their last game as they fired their young Head Coach Anais Pouliot right after last week's game and started to make some trades with their key players such as Anais' little sister Shannon Pouliot as both of them have departed for Los Angeles to join the Stars starting next week against the Toronto Icegals where they will join that team's other huge pickup Dasha Dereviankina. The team has promoted their defensive coordinator Caity Lotz to the head coaching position so it's a whole new team coming into this week's game. The other huge change was at the quarterback position as Vika Bronova was traded to Paris leaving the team without a starting quarterback and her good friend Hanna Edwinson went with her leaving some glaring holes on the team. The Nordiques decided to gamble and wait to find their QB since they were not interested in the Bulldogs QB Jenna McConnell. The Australia Kangaroos saw value in their QB Vikky Lee after her amazing performance on Monday Night Football against the Jacksonville Stripes and Quebec was the first ones on the phones about Vikky's availability and the trade was made that night after the game so now the Nordiques have replaced Vika with Vikky as their newest starting QB. The mood around the team has been sour ever since their first loss of the season against the Milwaukee Millers so the move was needed and from the sounds of it that Vikky is getting along great with her new teammates and the new coaching staff says the team is more positive during the week of practice. With all of this going on the London Invasion come in with the same team they had during training camp as Megan May Williams is the leader of that defense and they're playing really well right now. Invasion starting quarterback Farah Holt is off to a great start as well and her weapons Maya Owens in the backfield and wideout Joanna Halpin catches everything in sight. This will be a pretty good matchup and should be even but it comes down to execution so expect another close affair between these new Atlantic Ocean rivals.

Game Preview: In the fifth all-time meeting between Washington and Toronto in this league we have a lopsided matchup as Toronto is expected to be a championship contender with one of the top 2 talented rosters in the league while Washington is lacking talent which explains their 0-2 start to this new season. The Toronto Icegals are coming off of a historic upset loss via the New York Hitmen last weekend as they shocked them. New York Hitmen star linebacker Madison Beer had an amazing game and got the game-winning interception return for a touchdown off of the Icegals starting quarterback Ophelie Guillermand who has been under severe negative pressure from the Icegals fanbase and local and national media. Ophelie Guillermand is under so much pressure because the team is expected to do way better than they are offensively and they've gotten a glimpse at her backup QB Lindsey Visser who started this season as one of the best receivers in the league. During the two times that Lindsey Visser has been asked to come in the game in relief for Ophelie, she has looked impressive and it was more glaring last week in their loss to New York last week. With Lindsey being from Toronto and rookie star power rising in NITRO this season, the people want her to lead the team so now the pressure is really on Ophelie to get it done against the Americans this week. This is the Icegals second home game of the season so they're expected to get an easy win this week but Washington might have to say something about it as their new defensive leader Pam Strother is on a roll right now despite her team's two losses. The Icegals and their Head Coach Emily Senko will need to figure out how to get back on track offensively and the defense needs to tighten things but it's really talented defense as the story has been about their four undrafted prospects Jesse Anzalone, Marissa Robertson, and the Herbert Twins Ivy and Madison showing up big-time this season. Melissa Alonso moves up to the EDGE position opposite of Lorenea Rape who's having a great season so far and Yareli Reyes replaces her in the linebacking core. The pressure is on Toronto big-time in this game as the fans are growing restless already and it's just the third game of the season so the fans aren't going to wait on Ophelie to figure it out so let's see if we see an even bigger upset from the Americans in this game.

Game Weather: Indoors
Game Attendance: 73,053
TV Announcers (NBC): Greg Gumbel (play-by-play), Trent Green (color commentator), Tracy Wolfson (sideline reporter)
Game Preview: The Dallas Cowgirls have started their new season rolling as they're 2-0 and looking pretty good while doing it as their starting quarterback Elle Alexandra hasn't lost a step from her days with the Quebec Nordiques 5 years ago. Dallas won an overtime thriller 48-42 in their home opener on Sunday Night Football against the Tampa Sol as the offense won in a shootout to Malena Morgan's high-powered offense. Elle Alexandra has had some pretty good support surrounded by her new rookies like Meredith Mickelson, Chase Carter, Abby Champion, Brooke Perry, and Hannah Davis who all play on offense. The Cowgirls march into New Orleans to take the Originals who had an impressive victory over the Nashville Ladies in week 1 but dropped an ugly game 63-0 against the Shields sisters Strawberry and Kay who had a historic performance last week. The Originals have to get their stuff together as this is a team in Dallas who can easily come in there do the same exact thing to them. The weakness of the Cowgirls right now is their defense although they added Devin Reyes to that defensive line they don't have anything behind him which explains why they gave up 42 points last week to Tampa Bay but the team's strong point is their diverse offense which can put up points in a hurry and New Orleans doesn't have much on defense either. The two stars for the Originals are Barbara Di Creddo who plays QB and Italiana Richmond who plays in her backfield running back and they'll be asked to keep up in a shootout. Expect a lot of points to be scored in this afternoon affair as Dallas looks to stay up to a 3-0 record as they got Norwood coming in next week on Monday Night Football which is the team's third primetime game of the season this is the Cowgirls first daytime game of the season against New Orleans this week.

Game Preview: In the Game of the Week in the league we have two 1-1 teams meeting each other in this Nancy Football Conference (NFC) matchup between the Anaheim Oranges visiting the Tampa Sol. This is the third primetime appearance for the Sol this season as they played in the Game of the Week slot two weeks ago in the season opener against in-state rival the Jacksonville Stripes. Tampa Sol starting quarterback Malena Morgan is the bright star to see as she has put up a hell of a number of points over this first two weeks getting her team involved in shootouts but today she'll face Anaheim Oranges starting QB Anna Herrin who has been a bit of a surprise to start this season as she's doing pretty well as the #12 ranked QB in the league right now so expect Anna Herrin to give Malena Morgan everything that she's got for her today. Tampa gave up 48 points last week on defense but they still have two bright stars on that side of the ball in Carmela Rose and Tammy Oldehoff as the good news for the Sol this week is that they didn't have to lose Tammy to the team they just faced the Dallas Cowgirls who were supposed to get her services this week but since her NITRO studio ICE didn't trade her away to NBC she stayed put in Tampa. The Sol is gonna want to get their defense in order but for now, Malena has helped in the backfield from Patricia Nery who is one of the fastest players in the league along with a strong core of four veteran wide receivers starting with Marsha Owens, Julianna Guill, Lana Rhodes, and Riley Reid. All four of these girls have accounted for almost 1,000 receiving yards in total this season and 10 touchdowns coming into this game so Malena has a lethal offense behind her. For Anaheim, they have quite the offense with Xenia Deli being the main weapon here as well as they're growing into themselves around Anna Herrin but defense is lacking on this team. Today's game is going to be about who can get that key stop of the game to stop the bleeding but this is definitely a game that scoring lovers are going to enjoy.

Game Preview: In a Midwestern rivalry showdown the Minnesota Viqueens take on their neighbors to the east over in Wisconsin in the Milwaukee Millers. As of right now, the Miller Millers are firing on all cylinders right now defensively led by their leader and one of the best rookies in the league Bridget Satterlee as the Millers kept the Colorado Boulders to just 5 points last week. The Millers comeback home to Milwaukee for today's game as they look to continue to improve as a team under their Head Coach Sasha Luss who has her team off to a pretty great start this season. Bridget Satterlee was a beast last week in Denver getting 13 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks last week as she's currently ranked as the top defensive player in the game right now. Now the Millers did have a major change coming into this week as their ex-teammate Natalie Ceretti got into a small fight with Bridget Satterlee last week during and after the game causing Natalie to request for a trade and get the hell out of there so the Millers come into this game actually a bit shorthanded. Milwaukee adds to the team Kelli Berglund and Hana Giraldo to the team as Kelli Berglund will help the offense with starting quarterback Jelena Mariucci and Hana Giraldo will help out on defense with newly named Laverne & Shirley combo Bridget Satterlee and Nancy Nery. Minnesota is 1-1 so they're a team looking for a bit of momentum and they actually carry about five rookies on their team which include the two Peric sisters Anja and Kristy along with their best player in running back Amy Aasen, receiver Sanne Vloet, and edge rusher Anastasiya Scheglova. Minnesota won't be an easy team to beat for any team in the AFC. Milwaukee's defense will have to keep an eye on Amy Aasen the most in this game she's good for 100 to 200 yards a game any game so that should be an interesting matchup to see how they handle her because if she does well then this game will be close and could keep the Millers from getting to 3-0 to start this new season.

Game Preview: In the first ever game on the new Punky Television Network a sister network of ICE we have another really great and talented defensive team in this league in the Vancouver Grizzlies who have a new look team going down to Hot Atlanta at the brand new gorgeous Mercedes-Benz Stadium with some moves made ahead of this game most notably the acquisition of Eva Adams from Norwood. Eva Adams was the Norwood Octans best player so that was a huge loss for them but Vancouver was able to grab her out of there along with Kaylee Bryant this past week as Kaylee joins her as well. Vancouver made this move in order to replace Dasha Dereviankina at the safety position on defense who they traded to the Los Angeles this past week as well due to her getting into an altercation live on the sidelines where she got punched by her ex-teammate Alina Kirchiu so in order to not keep things awkward between Dasha and her teammates the move was made plus Dasha herself was traded from her NITRO studio ICE to ROD so it made sense to get Dasha to LA. Vancouver already had a loaded defense now they just got even more talented with the additions of Eva and Kaylee joining that defense. Another move that the Grizzlies made was at the starting quarterback position as veteran Deborah Jo Wood got traded as well to the Houston Oilers but she won't be starting for them until next week as the Grizzlies picked up Mila Gunz who will join the team after this game and be in a situation to start for them next week against the Milwaukee Millers on Sunday Night Football for a huge football game at home in front of their fans. For now, Debby Jo Wood is still the starter for this week's game and her main weapon is Irene Ko Park who is off to a fast start this season and could be the difference in this game. Vancouver's rookie Head Coach Paloma Kwiatkowski is in some real trouble with her job security but because the team has been winning she hasn't been removed yet, some of the players are not getting along with her right now. On the Atlanta side, this is going to be an emotional game for them as the Van Der Beek sisters suffered through a lot of stress this week due to bullying from their studiomates and Lillian Van Der Beek was the main target as she was bullied on Friday night by some of the members of this Vancouver Grizzlies team so she is out for this game so her sister Noor will be playing in heavy hearts for her and this will be Noor's last game for the team as she moves onto Paris after this game. Atlanta is coming off of a huge victory last week against Georgia Fowler and the New Zealand Kiwis so they'll be looking to get over the .500 mark this week. Legacies starting QB Liz Turner will be tested against one of the top defenses in the league without her weapon Lillian so look for K. Lee Graham to really step up in her place this week. This is going to be an emotional game here and probably a game for both teams which might determine where their seasons will go after this game.

Game Preview: You've been waiting all day for a Sunday night and now you've got it with Philadelphia against Chicago live from Wrigley Field on NBC. It doesn't get much bigger than that as both teams come in here looking for a win as Molly Ephraim and Alexandra Krosney's team the Broad Street Bullies out of South Philly are undefeated at 2-0 as they're cruising through the first two weeks here thanks to their great play from the Terrible Twins Vanessa and Jesalyn Moe. The Bullies cornerback Jesalyn Moe might be the best corner in the entire league as she shuts that side of the football completely down and she's a nightmare for quarterbacks to look over to her side as Chicago Enforcers starting QB Mackenzie Foy will have the challenge of avoiding throwing to her side making it tough today for find other people open with the rest of the defense being able to take care of the other receivers on the team. Mackenzie Foy suffered an injury in last week's loss against the London Invasion but she looks to be okay as she had a full week of practice. Jesalyn Moe's twin sister Vanessa is the starting QB of the Broad Street Bullies and she's killing it right now on her side of the football as one of the best rookie quarterbacks in the entire league already. Bullies wide receiver Hilarie Vitelli is one of Vanessa's main targets on that side of the football as Hilarie had 13 catches for 217 yards last week in the Bullies' 42-14 win on the road against the Lake Erie Harmonies. This Midwest tour from Cleveland to Chicago is going to be a trip that the Bullies look back on as one that got them together. Defensively the Bullies are always stacked and they are dealing with Toni Butler leaving their team this week for Paris as Toni makes her debut next week for them but Antonella Marzilli and Angie Bonanni are great enough to make sure they don't miss her. For Chicago, they need to get back on track after losing a close game 24-17 to the London Invasion last week. Chicago carries low-key one of the better defenses in the league led by Gia Jolie and they were able to add their rival Natalie Ceretti to the team as she comes down from Milwaukee. Chicago has not given up more than 30 points in the first two games so we'll see if that keeps up against the Broad Street Bullies on Sunday Night Football.

Game Preview: In late night action we have some Monday afternoon football down under from Auckland at historic Eden Park between two Nancy Football Conference teams in the undefeated Seattle Jewel visiting the winless New Zealand Kiwis. The Seattle Jewel come in as one of the hottest teams in the league with an air attack like no other as their starting quarterback Strawberry Shields is making history with her performances like her 63-0 victory over New Orleans last week where Strawberry connected with her sister Kay Shields on 7 touchdowns in that game. Strawberry leads the league with 11 touchdowns thrown this season so she's quite a show right now and Kay Shields is the fastest player in the entire league nobody can cover her at this moment. For Kay Shields, this is her first game since releasing the second series of her sneaker line from Nike in the Supersonic Kay 2s which were released on Wednesday of this past week to coincide with the big series premiere of the two sisters new comedy DJ Becky that debut that night on the ICE Television Network. Another huge thing about this game is that the team has added more defensive talent in the form of their older sister Gabrielle Shields who joins the defense in the linebacking core for the first time since getting out of prison. Gabrielle Shields played in this league the season before so she's a veteran and she helps a talented Seattle defense that has surprised this season with their rookies Zelda Stojanović, Camren Bicondova, and Mariana Phillips have had a good season so far the Jewel. The Kiwis lost their second straight game last week to Atlanta 30-27 which was a thriller. The Kiwis who are led by Georgia Fowler are still a team that nobody really knows right now but this is the type of game that we'll find out for sure because it depends on how they compete against Seattle in this game since we know the Jewel is a team that can put points up on the board in a hurry and has a defense right now that can become elite and shut them down so we'll see as Seattle looks to cruise to 3-0 on a long road trip just like Los Angeles this week down in Australia a couple of nights ago.
