PUNKY COMES OUT ON TOP FOR THE FOURTH DAY IN A ROW
On this fourth day of the secondary broadcast networks, we had a much closer battle as AJC improved greatly day-to-day while Punky slid quite a bit from a monstrous Kelly Green Friday.
The major difference came from the afternoon battle between the movies because ICE controlled the morning with solid repeat numbers from their comedies while AJC continued to struggle with their children's block. Punky showcased the It franchise as they held the world broadcast premiere of the It reboot from last year and ran the original It movie from 1990 right before it. AJC captured a victory in those hours thanks to a great turnout from the world broadcast premiere of Logan which got 8.32 million viewers which were way ahead of the original It. The new It did a lot better for Punky getting 7.27 million viewers but it was still less than Logan making Logan the biggest winner of the day. Cheaper By the Dozen held up pretty well behind Logan.
Logan star actress Dafne Keen will be entering NITRO next season as she's going to audition for the New Girls in Town Pageant when auditions reach London at the end of the month so she could be like Olivia Cooke from Ouija the day before and give a network a spark. She'll be right in line with other feature film child stars like new ICE Starlets Mackenzie Foy and Kiernan Shipka.
In primetime action, this is where Punky regained its lead as the series premiere of the Jordache Jeans Shopping Network series Fashion's Night In beat Gucci's version of Fashion Night although it was sort of a close race.
In late night hours, Punky kept control of its lead by getting a huge turnout from Vegas Showgirls After Dark which perked all the way up 16.10 million viewers which was the largest audience of the day for any secondary broadcast program. That did enough damage to give Punky the win today although AJC was pretty solid in late night with their network premiere of the 2004 disaster film The Day After Tomorrow and a block of comedies right after that which kept its numbers in line where they're supposed to be for repeats around that time of night.
Tomorrow the WFL makes its secondary broadcast debut on Punky and AJC so both networks should see a jump as AJC is still looking for their first win of the season over Punky.

Punky is spanking AJC pretty badly everyday and I could use Dafne Keen as I'll be scouting her all season.

I think the bigger programs that air at night really makes the difference because NBC was competitive in the afternoon, primetime, and late night. The morning really bought them down further but it could be a while before AJC sees its first victory over Punky as it's not as close as the shopping network races are right now.
