KYA SUMMERS & KYLA RAY RAISE THE SHOPPING RATINGS TO NEW LEVELS
It was a competitive day in the new shopping wars battle with JJSN winning day 2 with GSJC looking for their first win but the great news for GSJC is that for the the second day in a row they've beaten AJC and they actually averaged more viewers than Punky as well on Thursday to become the second highest rated network of the day in the secondary broadcast networks division with JJSN leading the way.
The shopping networks right now are a huge success and it's like Jill Nicolini accurately stated it's mainly due to the fact the shopping networks run original live programming the whole day and no repeats so that helps keep them higher than Punky and AJC at times.
Both networks are off to very successful starts as the ratings never went below 3 million viewers for either network and they drove as high as 20 million viewers in primetime thanks to the new shopping show featuring Kya Summers as host of a runway fashion show where she was able to showcase various models in mainly Jordache Jeans clothing and other various brands. The show was an instant hit at 20 million viewers but the show from what we understand isn't a weekly show it's a monthly show so the network will definitely miss the rest of this month but ICE make make an audible on it and air another episode later this month. That led into Kyla Ray's new beauty show which is a monthly show too because young ladies are Studio Chiefs so they don't have time to host the shows on a weekly basis. Kyla's primetime beauty show is a hit too getting 19 million viewers just a shade under what her partner Kya got for her new primetime show. Both shows did enough damage to help JJSN win primetime and the day.
GJSC didn't do bad at all itself in primetime as it got really good numbers from Jake T. Austin's new underwear which was competing against David Beckham but since it aired in primetime it fared better than David's show. Victoria Justice's new beauty show held Jake's lead-in really well and Austin Mahone ran a runway fashion show too which got the highest ratings of the day for GJSC at 14 million viewers at 10pm.
Jill Nicolini (WPIX-NY)

On Thursday's show, Jill Nicolini broke down the shopping network ratings as the day started with another close battle with the early morning breakfast and shopping shows with Gucci winning that battle there and Gucci stayed winning both network's flagship shows went against each other for 3 hours. Gucci split with their shopping show against Jordache Jeans Shopping Network in late night to close the day. Both of these shows are really close to each other.
We had some premieres throughout the afternoon as the Special Value battle went to Jordache then Doutzen Kroes new talk and shopping show won the noon hour against a special preview of the AJC App which was over 5 million viewers so it didn't do bad at all for a preview show.
The 4th quarter of the financial year just started on Monday so Christmas stuff is already being showcased and that edged Gucci's Halloween shopping show. David Beckham's new underwear show grabbed 7.49 million viewers for an easy win against The Google Play Store. Audrina Patridge kept Jordache on top the rest of the afternoon.
In late night the two new Got the Look fashion shows war went to Jordache on night 1 although the lead-in was bigger for JJSN.
We got some more new programs tomorrow as Jordache has Emma Dumont's show in primetime for Kelly Green Fridays.

Both shopping networks are off to a phenomenal start and I don't think anything on either schedule is doing badly right now as obviously some programs that are below 5 million viewers need to pick it up more but in reality, the shopping networks weren't expected to be this much higher than the two streaming networks Punky and AJC starting out this early so these programs are way ahead of the curb here.
In the underwear battle between David Beckham and Jake T. Austin, it looks like Jake T. Austin won but that was because his show had the benefit of airing in primetime over daytime so we'll need to see both programs either against each other head-to-head in the same slot or at least in the same window whether it be daytime, primetime, or late night.
I think Gucci Jeans had a pretty good night in primetime there was just no way they ever had a chance to compete or beat Kyla Ray or Kya Summers but the rest of the day was pretty close. Audrina Patridge got her revenge back from losing to Chase Carter yesterday.

i agree this is a fucking good battle right here as Gucci seems to be way ahead of AJC right out of the gate and they're keeping up with Jordache pretty well
Jordache seems to have done enough in certain hours to keep their average ahead of Gucci
