JORDACHE JEANS WINS DAY 1 OF THE SHOPPING NETWORK WARS
The shopping network wars were officially underway on Wednesday as Jordache Jeans pulled it out making it a perfect trifecta as ICE went 4-0 across the board winning daytime, primetime, secondary, and shopping network battle. Don't let the network averages deceive you though this might've easily been the toughest battle of the day for ICE as Jill Nicolini on Thursday broke down the rest of this network battle between Jordache Jean Shopping Network (JJSN) and Gucci Jeans Shopping (GJSC) on Wednesday.

On Thursday's show, Jill Nicolini broke down the shopping network ratings as the day started with a close between Jordache's and Gucci's early morning shopping shows with Early Morning Shopping & Breakfast's first episode pulling out the win with 5.15 million viewers although The Morning Shopping & Breakfast Brunch held a slight lead in the 6am hour but the difference was that second hour at 7am where Jordache's show pulled out in front that set the tone for the rest of the day.
In the first pure matchup between the two network's flagship signature shows Jordache Jeans Shopping Network and The Gucci Jeans Shopping Show we had Jordache pull through with a pure decisive victory then things tightened up from there as both networks took a break from fashion and went into the electronics department.
The electronic shows rated lower than the fashion shows on Wednesday but The PlayStation Store even with 3.44 million viewers was able to still edge The Google Play Store which was not far behind and Xbox did very close to PlayStation's numbers after Google but ICE went back to fashion with The WFL Shop which was ICE's version and Supersonic Kay made its debut right after that at 5pm and had a blowout victory over Xbox with 9.21 million viewers.
The closest race of the day belonged to the showdown between fashion brands Old Navy and Forever 21 as Old Navy edged Forever 9.00 to 8.99 million viewers and this was a huge performance for Gucci as having Chase Carter as host really helped as she proved to be just as popular as Audrina Patridge in that timeslot but this was not a good look for Jordache since Forever 21 had a way bigger lead-in than Old Navy had and still lost.
NBC's version of The WFL Shop won in the 7pm hour as Jordache did not compete in that hour due to simulcasting the very important Special ICE Meeting over on ICE. WFL on NBC Shop had the highest ratings in the daytime portion of the schedule scoring 12.54 million viewers.
SUKI WATERHOUSE IS THE SECONDARY BROADCAST NETWORKS FIRST EVER STAR OF THE DAY
In the primetime window for the shopping networks ICE easily won thanks to more Audrina Patridge who grabbed 12.56 million viewers easily knocking off Vanessa Hudgens' new beauty primetime show Gucci Beauty Night which didn't do too bad getting a little under 8 million viewers. Audrina's primetime show led into a continuation of Punky's Shopping with Suki Waterhouse. ICE rookie Suki Waterhouse so far has proven to be a huge thorn in Alex Juarez's side already as she's beaten him over in the streaming network battles between Punky and AJC and now here on the shopping networks and her ratings were a huge reason why both Punky and Jordache grabbed these victories on day 1 as well. Suki Waterhouse is starting to look like that 'IT GIRL' with these shopping shows as she grabbed the highest ratings of the day with 14 million viewers for her show and she then continued to host the second showing of Supersonic Kay Sneakers in late night as well which had 13.88 million viewers which was enough to defeat Gucci's Designer Duffle Bags for Men.
Suki Waterhouse has no doubt proven to be a powerhouse so far in this industry and she will be a handle for Alex Juarez to take down in these shopping wars or even the streaming wars for his network AJC since we know we'll continue to see her shopping shows on Punky.
Audrina Patridge and Chase Carter were the two other stars today too as they will be tough to compete against as well. For Audrina Patridge she's the main host on the network as she'll work most days during the week and she will actually be hosting the first ever shopping network show on ICE tomorrow night in primetime for the main network to fill in for Self-Defense which has been removed from the lineup to get revived.
In the last battle of the day was the late night war between the two flagship shows and this had an interesting back-and-forth battle as Gucci Jeans was able to beat Jordache Jeans with a smaller lead-in from 2am to 4am and then Jordache went back on top for the rest of the day between 4am to 6am to closeout Wednesday in late night.
Interesting note for GJSC is that they actually averaged more viewers than AJC on this first day which shows how poorly AJC did on day one since the shopping channels aren't supposed to beat the streaming networks in the network averages but it shows how much stronger GJSC actually is since they gave JJSN everything that they could handle. We'll see if this trend continues tomorrow.
The next set of numbers will be out on Friday night to cover Thursday and Friday for all four of the new secondary broadcast networks.

This was a pretty satisfying first day for us as the fashion shows had a nice turnout.
I'm definitely learning more and more how valuable Suki Waterhouse is becoming to our studio. She's become a huge asset to us but she's not available to host any of our shopping shows during the weekend since she works as a coordinator behind the scenes on the New Girls in Town Pageant. Suki will work mainly Wednesdays and sometimes on Mondays or Tuesdays but I've been overall impressed with her numbers. I've also been impressed with Audrina Patridge's numbers as well as she kept up with her competition. I actually knew there was a chance we would lose to Old Navy w/ Chase Carter when I saw that on the schedule but Audrina held her own against Chase.
I like the battles as it's pretty tight between the two races so far and these Jill Nicolini analysis are great as well.

I gotta echo these analysis breakdowns from Jill Nicolini are great and it looks like the shopping showdowns between Gucci and Jordache are going to be much tighter than AJC and Punky as I think Punky is going to have a handle on that battle for a while.
Gucci showed some potential that they can keep up with Jordache with the best example being the Old Navy show with Chase Carter against Audrina Patridge's Forever 21 show. That was a huge victory for them even though it was literally only 100,000 viewers between deciding a victor.
Primetime was the portion of the day that wasn't too close as I think Suki Waterhouse is starting to get bigger and bigger she had a huge day for ICE. Alex Juarez in the poll definitely has to be worried about her because she will be hard to program against going forward. ICE needs to worry about Chase Carter as well but I do want to say this NBC hasn't done a very good job in getting Chase where she needed to be I thought she would be one of the top rookies by now. If Chase Carter had a much bigger star power like a Bridget Satterlee or Vika Bronova then she would've dusted off Audrina Patridge probably with 11-13 million viewers.
The sneakers and sports apparel shows are doing pretty well right now as well but the electronic shows were a little slow today but I can see those shows picking up closer to the Christmas season.
Truth be told it just seems like everybody is really into either Jordache Jeans, Gucci Jeans, Supersonic Kays, and Air Jordans right now more than anything else and I believe that's why the ratings for these shows were miles ahead of the electronic shows right off the bat.

this is a pretty good race as i really can't wait to see the way the numbers shakeout tomorrow but Suki Waterhouse is the main star here for sure
