Patrick Duffy (NBC)Patrick Duffy (NBC Universal), Step By Step (Warner Bros. Television) (NBC-TV) (Channel 4)Network Season Rankings1. ICE - 15 wins (79 points)2. ROD - 6 wins (48 points)3. NBC - 7 wins (41 points)NBC DOMINATES TUESDAY NIGHT AND DOES COMEDY RIGHTNBC cruised to another Tuesday victory thanks to their newest comedy blockbuster hit Rachel which has turned in another record ratings performance now once again becoming the all-time highest rated and most watched scripted NITRO program of all-time. Rachel turned in 171.48 million viewers which helps it topped previous record setters Who Wanted Nichole Dead? from Friday night on ICE and Dallas Cowgirls Undercover last night over on ROD.
TERRI SHIELDS = RATINGS!
Rachel now becomes the first scripted program to reach more than 170 million viewers in NITRO as we're now just 30 million viewers away from seeing the first scripted program turn in 200 million viewers as that achievement was already surpassed by both unscripted hits New Girls in Town Pageant (217.04 million) this past Friday and The Carpenters Hour (206.36 million) last night both coming from the ICE Television Network.
Highest Rated Scripted Performances on Each Network
1. Rachel (NBC) - 171.48 million (TUE 10/2/18)
2. Who Wanted Nichole Dead? (ICE) - 158.73 million (FRI 9/28/18)
3. Dallas Cowgirls Undercover (ROD) - 157.41 million (MON 10/1/18)
Rachel which is a sequel series to one of the all-time greatest television comedies in Friends has really become a game changing program for the NITRO comedy scene because it's growing every single week and taking the genre to new heights that it's never seen before. The addition of Terri Shields to the show has proven to be a huge move made by Rachel showrunner Joey Aniston along with Chairman Kevin Smart, DEO Elizabeth Olsen, President Erinn Hayes, and Comedy Coordinator Tim Allen. Adding Terri Shields to the show was just such a huge decision for the show because Rachel was already doing well before Terri came on but in these last two episodes the hype around her on social media and in the press taken Rachel to a whole different level of greatness.
The scary thing about Rachel is it's not done growing as Allison Shields is going to do a story arc run on the show during November Sweeps next month so there's no telling how high Rachel will be at that point. Rachel airs its second episode of the week inside of that Must See TV lineup this Thursday night on NBC.
Comedy Coordinator Tim Allen really deserves credit for helping put together these comedies around Rachel as NBC has really turned the corner right now in the comedy area on the network. The entire lineup on Tuesday was over 100 million viewers which is the first time we've ever seen a non-ICE network turn in over 100 million viewers for every single comedy in a single lineup.
Leading off the night was the steady hit Full House which since its premiere in the fall of 2013 has been a huge success for the network along with Step By Step right behind it. Neither one of them has shown any real signs of falling down. For the first time in its run Full House is over 100 million viewers and so is Step By Step as Full House reached a series-high 122.41 million viewers while Step By Step also received a series-high 120 million viewers with great retention behind its lead-in.
Queens of Motown is turning into a successful hit for NBC as well as it was aided by Rachel's newfound success getting over 150 million viewers and holding well for the second episode at 10pm with 146 million viewers. Gimme a Break! was aided by its lead-in as well grabbing a series-high of 113 million viewers of its own.
NBC has become a force on Tuesday nights and it's going to be hard for ICE and ROD to compete for the rest of the fall portion of the season but we're sure ICE and maybe even ROD will have something up their sleeve to try and cool NBC down on Tuesday nights or maybe they'll just take this night off? We'll see what happens but NBC has tied in the new dress code which has bought extra media attention to the night as well as we see the actors getting dressed up on Tuesdays and Thursdays for these tapings. We'll show you what the actors had to wear later.

ICE & ROD AFFECTED BY NBC'S NEWFOUND COMEDY DOMINATION
ICE came into 2nd place but it was a strong 2nd place for them as this new Psycho Bitch Night lineup featuring all three of the network's Janit O'Day franchise shows and Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch which is not related to the Janit O'Day but is very similar in tone with a dangerous set of female leads terrorizing people in their respective city which is the theme of all four of these shows and that's why this lineup is performing pretty well together.
NBC has taken a lot of viewers away from these shows if you see in the ratings all four of these shows are way stronger than the performances they're putting in but 70-100 million viewers for dramas that receive absolutely no extra help is still pretty impressive these days. Now we did notice a different trend this week between Fugitive at 17 and Janit O'Day where Fugitive at 17 was stronger than the mothership program Janit O'Day this week and that might've been due to the fact that Rachel was Janit's opponent this week as we see Kelly's Thugs took off to almost 90 million viewers with Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch ultimately getting almost 100 million viewers.
One thing that ICE executives have told us about these dramas is that they're rebuilding this year because the casts are different than last season as each show has lost some key parts although key leads remain like Marie Avgeropoulos on Fugitive at 17 and AnnaLynne McCord on Kelly's Thugs but two of the key departures are at NBC right now in Allison Shields from Janit O'Day and Jessica Lowndes from Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch. ICE has started to cast some of their rookies to rebuild these shows as the Moe twins are both in Janit O'Day. These four shows could be doing a little better once those actors settle in and get new fans.
ROD on the other hand is struggling on Tuesdays and really not competitive except in the opening 8pm hour where The Stella Sisters and their new comedy hit Baby Don't Rush from producer Blake Shelton are doing pretty well for them right now holding right above 70 million viewers keeping competitive against Fugitive at 17. Both comedies are facing the Full House and Step By Step duo that's been pretty difficult for them.
ROD has a real bad problem on their hands with the rest of their lineup except for Hayden's Country Hour.
Two More Bottles of Wine has really crashed this week dropping all the way down below the Mendoza Line which has been raised to 60 million viewers this season from 35 million viewers last season. Two More Bottles of Wine is in cancellation territory and ROD could pull it after this week and Somethin' Bad is doing horribly after ROD lost both Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson to NBC last season so that's another show that could be pulled. I think ROD might stay patient with the lone drama in the lineup Mine Would Be You but if ROD does decide to cancel both comedies this week they might have to run an hour of reruns until they figure out a solution there.
There is some immediate concern right now that Lucy Hale is not doing that good of a job running ROD right now as Ashley Greene really crashed this network into the ground last season but they're overall still holding onto 2nd place by the slimmest of margins leading NBC in points 48 to 41 but they have only 6 wins to NBC's 7 wins. ROD is still solid during the rest of the week but Tuesdays is their weakest night so far but ROD needs some major improvements before NBC leaves them completely in the dust.
Tomorrow we focus back on ICE as we have the major huge series premiere of DJ Becky which has a lot of pressure on it to get close to Rachel's ratings now that Rachel has raised the bar high as the ICE Shields sisters have talked a lot of shit about their NBC Shields sisters so we'll see who has the last laugh tomorrow night. Bastard Kids replaces the struggling Adult Years at 10pm. ICE has finished in first place on every single Wednesday this season so far and NBC will start to get stronger as they still have Heather and Michael Myers Niece coming on Wednesdays to help Aria the Pretty Little Bitch. Georgia Grace Martin replaces Madison Beer on The Waves as Madison Beer enters the ICE doors officially for the first time tomorrow as an ICE Starlet. ROD has made a change to their Wednesday lineup putting Eight Is Enough at 10pm and Koy Jung's new hit variety show at 9pm behind The Nanny Diaries so we'll see how that works for them.

Wow! I've never seen NBC this dominant with a regular lineup before they absolutely destroyed ICE and ROD and it wasn't even close. These ratings looked like ICE's ratings from last Friday as everything was over 100 million viewers. It shows how strong Rachel is right now but also how strong the comedies around Rachel are as well. Full House, Step By Step, Queens of Motown, and Gimme a Break all seem to be very strong comedy options right now for them.
Adding Terri Shields was the single most important decision that's been made on any network this season so far for NBC. It puts a Shields sister in a strong program and that's why I'm interested to see how DJ Becky does not only tonight but in the next few weeks because this keeps Strawberry Shields and Kay Shields star power way up and it sounds like Gillian and Gabby are supposed to be on the show as well. This reminds me of when ICE had Ally and it helped elevate all of the Shields sisters they had on the roster that time raising their star power.
Rachel gave Two More Bottles of Wine their last two bottles of wine as I'm sure ROD is cancelling it today and I think Somethin' Bad is done too and that was a huge hit for ROD last season one of the only new hits that Ashley Greene produced the previous season.
ICE seems to be rebuilding the casts with their dramas but they're still in a good spot so no worry there but the worry is with Lucy Hale right now, ROD is slipping a little bit this season and I point to the mediocre draft they had to be honest with them.

Lucy Hale will definitely have to take an L for us today
Changes are definitely going to have to come but it's going to be hard to compete on this night. We're stronger on Thursdays against the other comedy block than we are here.
I feel good about The Stella Sisters, Baby Don't Rush, Hayden's Country Hour, and Mine Would Be You for right now but the whole 9p hour is definitely going to have to get trashed after this week.

Shenae Grimes (Chairman): We are officially going to have to cancel Two More Bottles of Wine and Somethin' Bad after this week effective immediately. Since these comedies tape live we don't have to air any unaired episodes so the four episodes that they have produced this season will be it.
Rey Pounds (Head Programmer): We are going to replacing both 9p comedies with reruns that usually aired on Wednesdays after The Nanny Diaries as a pair of I Love Lucy Hale reruns will air in their place next week.
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Daytime President): What L? WTF are you talking about you fucking bum? I'm not in charge of primetime dumbass....
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Daytime President): You fuckers at NBC still can't beat us in daytime no matter how hard you try and Liam Spencer get ready to lose on Friday....
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Daytime President): Damn Finn it looked like Vinny wants to beat your fucking ass.

One thing I learned from the first year in NITRO is that we don't have to win every night of the week as long as we're competitive that's all that matters to me as we're still getting points so it's cool to see NBC dominating to be honest and I'm very happy to see the Shields twins Ally and Terri having success at NBC it shows that they were not a fluke at ICE or huge because of the ICE machine. I sold three of the comedies that they're winning with right now Full House, Step By Step, and Queens of Motown and it puts a smile on my face that all three of them are doing well right now around Rachel. I'm happy with my numbers as we're not in a really bad position like ROD on Tuesday Nights who just had to cancel two comedies this week and I feel like our lineup will get stronger as the season goes along. We lost a lot of key players from these shows and we have to rebuild them as Big Prox mentioned in his analysis. I'm not guaranteeing that we're going to stick with this same schedule for the rest of the season either. This was actually band-aid move because we had to delay Team ICE to the second half of the season because of the WFL during the weekends in the fall. Tuesdays will look a little different for us starting in February. Thursdays is the one night we still gotta fix but I think it's efficient to have that one night during the week that you take off and give our viewers a break from ICE programming in primetime. Thursdays will be different too come the winter time so exciting times ahead.

Paige Van Buren (Co-CEO): Yeah LUCY HOLD THIS L BITCH!
Strawberry Shields: Terri Shields is fucking terrible she ruined Rachel it was a great comedy before she came.
Gabrielle Shields: I'm embarrassed to be Terri's sister she can't act for shit. Why use her instead of Allison? Hell even Barbara would've been better.
Gillian Shields: Don't forget to watch DJ Becky tomorrow live at 11pm on ICE and unlike Jacqueline MacInnes Wood we won't ruin DJ Becky like she did when she was on that bitch.
Kay Shields: Rachel ain't shit we'll destroy that show and if Terri continues to be cocky I'll go to management and put DJ Becky directly against Rachel this winter. KEEP PLAYING WITH US!

ICE you're so right the most important thing is to just be competitive as the season race is predicated on points so grabbing 2 points whenever you can grab them is the goal. A bad night is when you have earned 0 points and when you achieve no points often.
ICE is doing fine on Tuesdays as ROD is the network that has to rebuild on this night. I think they got the right idea in mind with the country theme night but the problem is they're going against a juggernaut comedy block on NBC.
btw, ICE that new promo graphic for DJ Becky is looking super clean. Everything with your new logos is looking clean as I can't wait for the press release on it.
