Game Summary: Madison Beer promised before the game that she was going to win the game as she had a great feeling about it so her intuition was correct as her team the New York Hitmen won 35-34 over the Toronto Icegals in the biggest upset in WFL history so far as Madison Beer got the game winning interception with 27 seconds left to go in the ball game returning it for a touchdown that would ultimately be the deciding play of the game. Madison Beer had a monster game getting 15 tackles as she been all over the place leading her defense. It was a dramatic victory for this New York Hitmen team as they had an emotional crusher of a performance last week against the Enforcers in their opening game of the season losing on a turnover so they won on a key turnover this week sealing a huge victory. Madison Beer celebrated with the fans when the game ended as she forced a fumble on Toronto starting quarterback Ophelie Guillermand who struggled greatly in this game for Toronto forcing a potential change at QB sometime in the upcoming games. Madison has threatened NBC management that she would not return to Paris the following day for work if her team had won as she's going to party with her people since she's from New York City. Offensively it was a good performance all-around as Gillian Shields attacked this talented Toronto defense as Gillian got over 300 passing yards in this game and passed for 3 touchdowns with 2 of them going to her wideout threat Dinah Jeter who caught 7 balls in this game for over 100 yards. The offense got their revenge against this uber-talented defense as a number of the Icegals defensive players kept bullying and taunting New York offensive lineman Rachel Hilbert over her weight acting like mean girls. Rachel Hilbert even cried on the sidelines because she said that Ivy Herbert came over and said something extremely evil to her about weight and life and her teammates responded to it and it resulted in a pretty nasty brawl during the 3rd quarter of this game. Three of the Toronto defensive players Ivy Herbert for being an instigator and her sister Mackenzie Herbert along with Jesse Anzalone their big play linebacker were all ejected and that hurt their defense because they were actually leading in this game 20-7 before New York willed their way back and scored three straight unanswered touchdowns going up 28-20 until Lindsey Visser came in the game at QB and put them back up 34-28 which is where the game was decided. Lindsey Visser looked great as quarterback and fans are already calling on her to start the next game but we don't know if Head Coach Emily Senko will make that move just yet. Either way Lindsey Visser was a monster in this game with 12 catches, 188 yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. This was a crushing loss in the division for Toronto who have championship aspirations as an extremely young team but New York is looking to make the playoffs and a win like this will help as these two teams will play each other again later in the season up in Toronto. The Icegals are looking to make some moves on their roster to improve on both sides of the ball after this game. Also, the big question coming out of this game is will Madison Beer go back to work this week?

Game Summary: Chicago makes the trip overseas to the London Invasion who were just coming off a close win against their rivals the Paris Bulldogs. This game had some pretty good defensive play but London's offense came out on top as their starting QB Farah Holt looked good in this game getting 348 passing yards in the air and throwing for 2 key touchdowns. On the receiving end of both of those touchdowns was talented receiver Joanna Halpin who had 127 receiving yards in this game off 10 catches and both of those touchdowns. Valerie O'Brien who plays tight end had a nice game as well with 5 catches and 49 yards meanwhile Invasion running back Maya Owens providing a touchdown off the ground as she had 97 yards rushing just 3 yards shy of her second straight 100-yard rushing game. The London defense kept Chicago quarterback Mackenzie Foy very frustrated in this game as she had three turnovers with the Invasion leader of the defense Megan May Williams being a terror to her all day getting 11 tackles with a huge 4 tackles for losses and 2 sacks so she constantly got in the backfield. Both Georgia May Foote and Georgia Grace Martin both got turnovers in this game as Georgia May Foote had an interception while Georgia Grace Martin collected a fumble. Chicago's defense was still pretty good in this game despite the loss as Gia Jolie accounted for 12 tackles in this game and Daphne Bertram as well with 8 tackles at safety but Shirley Motes has struggled through the first two games of the season so far so she's a concern. The problem for Chicago was the constant mistakes on the offensive side of the football and empty possessions. Overall though one thing has been prevalent Megan May Williams is very intimidating as she continues to bully offensive players and comes up with big dirty hits. Chicago's Kiernan Shipka had to come out of this game with an injury and so did Alanna Arlington. London moves onto 2-0 so they're off to a great start while Chicago is at 1-1 needing a win next week.

Game Summary: Allison Shields returns home to Detroit with her Paris Bulldogs against Janet Moore and the Detroit Fury in their home opener. The Fury come off a wild 40-34 win against Talia Scoggins and the Boston Hoods on the road last week to open the season. A late week trade that the Fury made getting Paget Hagemeijer with the Colorado Boulders who played last night in that 30-5 loss to Bridget Satterlee and the Milwaukee Millers. Paget Hagemeijer was the missing piece to this Fury offensive attack as they needed a running back for Janet Moore in the backfield. Paget is a speedster like the rest of the offense like Nancy "Jet" Kimmell, Gail Kimmell, and Gigi Midgley at the receiver's positions. Paget provides the speed out of the backfield that they need on this offense. Inside of the game itself on Sunday it was an awesome overtime thriller that resulted in the Fury edging the Bulldogs 43-37 as it was close game throughout and already one of the best games during the early part of this season. Allison Shields was booed and heckled by fans throughout the game as it was a sellout crowd of more than 66,000 at Ford Field in downtown Detroit. The game became a shootout as late in the 4th quarter with 1:09 left to go we had Allison Shields score what looked like it could be the game winning score of the ballgame when Paris took the lead 37-30. It was a pretty dramatic play too as Ally caught a 57-yard pass from Jenna McConnell burning the shit out of Margarita Zalejska who didn't cover Ally the whole game but she gave up at that time what looked like the biggest play of the game in her hometown. Margarita made up for it in overtime playing really well helping the Fury get three stops. Ally silenced the fans in the crowd as the Ford Field crowd was shocked as hell to see that play happen. Janet Moore would save the crowd's near panic attack by leading a last minute drive of her own as Gigi Midgley caught her only touchdown of the game with only 6 seconds remaining as it was a 21-yard completion helping getting the game into overtime. Both defenses got two stops to start out the overtime session and then Janet Moore would keep her superhero cape on to lead the game winning drive in overtime after Jezebel James forced a key fumble to get the ball back to the Fury after it looked like the Paris was going to win the game. Janet would respond with an 64-yard bomb to Nancy Kimmell that would seal the victory for the Fury over Paris to go 2-0 to start this new season beating two quality opponents in Boston last week and now Paris this week to put Detroit into first place in the NFC.
Allison Shields had a monster game with 11 receptions, 237 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns in this game. Other Bulldogs players that did very well in this game was their star running back Topanga Jamora who is looking like the best back in the league grabbed another 100 yards on the ground as she got into the endzone once in this game early on. Tonya Krosney continues to be a beast at corner as she limited the number of times any receivers got a big play off of her and she forced the only turnover for her defense in the game as she got a pick in this game as well. Sarah McDaniel provided some help upfront as she got 1.5 sacks in this game and got 3 tackles for a loss as she was creating pressure all game long. One of the two ROD players on the Bulldogs in Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose Depp had a pretty solid game at safety as she got 11 tackles in this game including a sack on Janet Moore. She has been great on this so far during this early part of the season. For the Fury they had their star QB Janet Moore taking care of business in her home debut as she had a monster game throwing for 417 yards in the air and throwing for 4 touchdowns in this game with that one pick that we talked about earlier from Tonya Krosney. Janet Moore completed 33 of her 46 passes for a completion percentage of 71% so Janet's accuracy was definitely on point in this game. Catching a majority of her passes was Nancy "Jet" Kimmell who was a monster in this game getting 9 catches and 163 yards receiving with 2 touchdowns in this game and Janet's other target Gigi Midgley caught 5 passes for 107 yards and 1 touchdown so both of her receivers were monsters today. Paget Hagemeijer had a successful first game with the Fury as she ran for over 100 yards on the ground and added in a touchdown on the ground.
Most of the Fury's talent comes from the defensive side of the football where their rookies like Teena Schneider, Margarita Zalejska, Stephie Argelich, Patrick Westbrook, Maxie Justice, Marissa Robertson, Alina Amos, and their leader Jezebel James hail on. Their defensive leader Jezebel James didn't disappoint and caused massive headaches to the NBC and Paris fanbase as she was in the backfield all day creating havoc on their passing game as she made Bulldogs fans call for Jenna McConnell's head as I bet they can't wait to see Vika Bronova takeover the quarterback position on their team. Jezebel might be THE TOP defensive lineman in the game right now as she had 4 sacks in this game a 5.5 tackles for losses and a forced fumble. Jezebel simply can't be blocked and creates problems for anybody's offensive lines which is why teams are grabbing male talent to the offensive line position to protect against strong tall girls like Jezebel from getting into their backfield. Jezebel was aided in this game by Margarita Zalejska, Patrick Westbrook, Marissa Robertson, Teena Schneider, and Alina Amos who all had amazing days on the defensive side of the football despite Allison Shields and Topanga Jamora shredding their defense in this game. The Detroit Fury definitely has what could be one of the best defensive units in all of football but they will have to clean a lot of things up in order to stay from giving up nearly 40 points and over 500 yards like they did today. The loss is a devastating to Paris as they now go to 0-2 this season with their championship aspirations hanging in the balance right now as they're going to need Vika Bronova ASAP and more importantly a victory. It won't get any easier as they have to travel to Norwood and take on their crazy fanbase next week and the Octans are 2-0 themselves and playing some great ball defensively. This will also be Michi Kat Grimes WFL debut in the league for Norwood so things will continue to be hard for Bulldogs and this rough schedule to start out their new season.

Game Summary: Hailee Steinfeld steps into this game as the new starting quarterback of the Los Angeles Stars as she replaces Gigi Hadid who is now getting traded to NBC in a few weeks. The Los Angeles Stars came off of a heartbreaking loss last week on Sunday Night Football when they choked a 28-3 lead over the Seattle Jewel to lose 31-28 thanks to a miraculous comeback from Jewel superstar QB Strawberry Shields who led the team back with 4 touchdowns to her sister Kay Shields to edge their West Coast rivals. Now the Stars come into this week with a quarterback change and the retirement of their main leader Kya Summers who leaves the WFL to take on one ICE's CEO positions this coming week. With that being said the Stars were able to take care of business and get their first win of the season to improve to a .500 record of 1-1 against the talentless Nashville Ladies. LA dominated this game winning 38-7 thanks to a great showing from their new starting quarterback Hailee Steinfeld who threw for 4 touchdowns in this game to different receivers one of them includes Langley Fox Hemingway who had 8 catches for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead all of LA's receivers. Nastassia Lindes provided 139 rushing yards on the ground to help Hailee in her first start along with Sean Thompson who was added to the offensive line and blocked really well on his side of the line. LA's defense was ferocious against Nashville Ladies starting QB Jenna Kelly as edge rusher Kyra Santoro was a menace in this game getting 6 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 4 tackles for losses as she was every in the backfield in this game and Juliane Landers who learned that she was staying with the Stars this week and not getting traded grab a pick six for a touchdown. LA cruised in this game as they are looking to fight for the fans in LA against the Anaheim Oranges all season long.

Game Summary: In the Game of the Week in the league we have two winless team needing a win to avoid an 0-2 start after heartbreaking losses in overtime last week on the final play of the game. The Nordiques came into this game obviously dealing with a lot knowing that Vika Bronova is going to get traded and will only be playing this game and probably next week's game and that will be it for her in a Nordiques uniform so they were obviously heavily distracted and the Boston Hoods took advantage. The Nordiques had a lot of players playing their first home game in their WFL careers and for some in their hometown of Montreal so it got spoiled. Talia Scoggins led her Hoods defense and got back on track from last week's poor performance against Janet Moore last week. Talia Scoggins is one of the best linebackers in the game right now as she had 15 tackles in this game along with 3.5 tackles for losses and a sack. Talia plays with her two half-sisters Hope and Demi Alfonso and they got back on track this week as well alongside Talia. Darcy Barnes and Demi Alfonso wrecked havoc on that defensive line combining for 4 sacks in this game and the best showing had to be in the secondary as cornerback Kirin Scarpello was a terror getting 7 tackles and 2 interceptions in this game and she took one of those back for a touchdown so Kirin was definitely looking great in this game. The Boston defense was just menacing on Vika Bronova as Vika has been playing poorly in her first two starts but her opponents might two of the better defenses in the league but Vika's chemistry with her receivers just isn't there and they aren't getting much out of the run game either. Vika was just 17 for 37 in this game and had 3 interceptions and it caused Vika to get booed off the field as the crowd knows she will not be the Nordiques quarterback so they were really giving it to her as they felt like Vika was throwing the game because she knows she's not going to be on this team after next week's game. The only two bright spots were both Airee Brooks and Lulu Leithold on the Quebec defense as Mila Gunz's only interception in this game came against Lulu Leithold who did a good job in this game and linebacker Airee Brooks had about 10 tackles in this game as she was very productive. Hopefully, if this trade goes through the Nordiques will be getting Mila Gunz as their quarterback if not it will be Jenna McConnell but we'll see. Vika Bronova will have to play another lame duck game at home next week when one of her arch-nemesis Megan May Williams and the London Invasion comes to town next week and for Boston, they'll be back home next Saturday against the Colorado Boulders for a late matinee affair on NBC as Boston will look to go to 2-1. Colorado struggled without Paget Hagemeijer who got traded to Detroit this week so this is definitely a chance for Boston to get over .500 and for Quebec, they could be staring at 0-3 in the face.
Players of the GameTalia Scoggins (LB) (BOS): 15 tackles, 1 sack, 3.5 TFLAiree Brooks (LB) (MTL): 10 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 1 TFL
THE REST OF THE LEAGUENEW STADIUM TREATS THE HOME TEAM VERY NICELY(NBC-TV) Out in Minneapolis where Romeo Miller called the game after hosting Vegas Showgirls the night before we have the Viqueens finally having their home opener 2 years after the beautiful U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis had been built. The Viqueens who used to the Washington Americans changed their name to reflect their NFL counterparts the Minnesota Vikings by replacing the Kings to Queens were supposed to open up the 2016 season at their new digs at U.S. Bank Stadium but since that season got delayed 2 years later they finally have their opener today similar to Atlanta yesterday at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Fittingly enough the Viqueens hosted the city's old team the Washington Americans and in this game the Viqueens cruised to a 28-17 at their new stadium debut thanks to their star rookie running back Amy Aasen rushing for over 200 all total purpose yards and getting into the endzone 3 times in this game two on the ground and one through the air in the passing game. Pam Strother had 9 tackles in the game for the Washington defense. The Viqueens improve to 1-1 on the season while the Americans fall to 0-2.
EVA ADAMS OPENS UP THE BRAND NEW BEAUTIFUL BILLION DOLLAR AIR CANADA PARK IN STYLE(ICE-TV) In our third new stadium opener of the weekend was at Air Canada Park in Yonkertown as the beautiful new facility on a sun lit Sunday afternoon hosted their Norwood Octans one of the many new franchises in the league this season to a sellout crowd in what might be the most raunchy and rowdy crowd in the league already. Norwood hosted Paige Reifler and the Miami Sharks who won their home opener last week against the 0-2 Colorado Boulders. Well unfortunately for Paige Reifler this was a game she'd like to forget as the city of Norwood, New Brunswick in Northeastern Canada was amped up past the limits on this game. The defense set the tone early as Eva Adams showed why she's the top safety in the league as she intercepted a pass on the first drive and took it to the house for 75-yards for the stadium's first ever score so that is a trivia question in the future. If that wasn't enough Eva Adams would add in another pick six for another Norwood touchdown putting them up 14-0 as she clearly was reading Paige Reifler very well in this game. Eva Adams added in another one to put her at 280 yards which was more than the total offensive yards for the game as she added in her 3rd touchdown later in the game completing a rare defensive touchdown hat trick by one defensive player. Eva Adams was all over the field with 14 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks. Amanda Marleau didn't need to do much in this game but she added in one other touchdown running it into the endzone herself. Kendall Vertes and Kaylee Bryant provided good defensive performances and they will get help from Michi Kat Grimes next week but the whole city is anxiously awaiting to see if their leader Eva Adams will get traded to Vancouver or not putting a damper on their 2-0 start while Miami is now 1-1.
PHILLY BULLIES THEIR WAY TO A BLOWOUT WIN OVER CLEVELAND
(ICE-TV) The Broad Street Bullies did their job and that's to bully their opponent and unfortunately it was on the lowly Lake Erie Harmonies who host their home opener on Sunday afternoon and it got ugly quick as we had a brawl between the two teams as mean girls like Jesalyn Moe and Antonella Marzilli got in on the action starting the fight. Early on it actually got the Harmonies extra motivated as they jumped all over the Bullies 14-0 to the start the game thanks to their new acquisition Stephanie Rose Bertram who got two touchdowns off the ground game. The team had traded the promising young defender Mariana Phillips to Seattle earlier in the week and that would prove to be a mistake later in the game. Philadelphia went into the half with a 14-7 lead before their young Head Coach Samantha Hoopes ripped into them at the locker room. Bullies Defensive Coordinator Sofia Black-D'Elia also ripped into her defense for allowing Stephane Rose Bertram to score two touchdowns. Message was sent as the Broad Street Bullies tookover the ballgame from there as they would score 35 unanswered points to blow Cleveland out 42-14 as it was a clear tale of two halves. Vanessa Moe snapped and threw for 409 yards and connected on 4 touchdowns in this game with all four of those touchdowns going to her deep threat Hilarie Vitelli who had another monster game this week receiving the ball she had 13 catches with 217 yards. Defensively the best corner in the game Jesalyn Moe got two picks and even took one to the house and safety Toni Butler was a monster as well getting 14 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and got a pair of sacks proving why she's one of the best safeties in the game as well. The Bullies pull to 2-0 as they make a trip to Chi-town for their first appearance on Sunday Night Football while the lowly Lake Erie Harmonies go to 0-2 to start this new campaign.
NATASHA HERBST HAS A GOOD OPENER IN THE CITY BY THE BAY(ROD-TV) Both the Houston Oilers and the Bay Area Quakes were both embarrassed in their season openers last week but this week they were involved in a low scoring thriller as both teams were seeking to avoid an 0-2 start and unfortunately for the Houston Oilers who played much better defense this week fell to the Bay Area Quakes thanks to the Quakes new star rookie player Natasha Herbst who got the game winning touchdown off of an interception in the closing 13 seconds of the game. The game at that point was all tied up at 13 a piece but Natasha Herbst broke on the ball taking it back to the house. We have seen a lot of players in the WFL have the ability to intercept passes and return them for touchdowns as it shows how talented our players are in the league right now and how fast they are as well but Natasha Herbst is not only the Quakes best player but she's also already one of the best corners in the league. The crowd in San Francisco was amped up as they're hoping that Natasha despite not having a very talented team around her can provide this type of magic most weeks to help the Quakes clinch a playoff berth in the NFC. Full House star Soni Nicole Bringas passed for a touchdown in this game off of 235 passing yards in her debut at quarterback. She did not play until late last week and was named starter this week. The Quakes improve to 1-1 while the Oilers are 0-2 to start this young season.
SHIELDS SISTERS MAKE HISTORY SCORING 7 TOUCHDOWNS IN THEIR HOME OPENER IN SEATTLE(ROD-TV) It was an historic day in the Emerald City as the city of Seattle had their home opener at Safeco Field and it was a bright sunny day and the city's newest shiny toys were productive as fuck. Strawberry and Kay Shields give their sister Gabrielle who had been locked away the past 4 years away from society the greatest gift they could ever give her as she witnessed history in person as Gabby will suit up for the Seattle Jewel next week to help aid their defense although they didn't really need it as they're currently shutting out the New Orleans Originals right now. Strawberry Shields is off to a fast start this season as she's thrown 11 touchdowns and guess what? All 11 of them went to her sister Kay "Supersonic" Shields who caught an additional 7 touchdown passes in this game as it's clear that nobody can catch her and her unbelievably Sonic like speed. Strawberry Shields herself has already thrown for 633 passing yards in this game. The sister duo put on a show in front of the home fans at Safeco Field in Seattle this afternoon for the Jewel's home opener. Seattle would go onto win this game 63-0 making it the biggest blowout of this early part of the new season as New Orleans has scored no points as rookies Zelda Stojanović, Camren Bicondova, Mariana Phillips, and veteran Thandie Clark completed a shutout as Zelda Stojanović has taken a interception back to the house earlier in this game and as reported before they'll be getting major help from Gabrielle Shields next week as Seattle improves to 2-0 while New Orleans goes 1-1 after their win last week against the Nashville Ladies.
