BRIDGET SATTERLEE WINS THE GAME IN THIS OVERTIME THRILLER WITH A PICK-6 FOR A TOUCHDOWN OFF OF VIKA BRONOVA

We start out this amazing opening week of WFL games with a network high in the ratings for NBC as the huge matchup between the Quebec Nordiques against the Milwaukee Millers in the afternoon block of games grabbed 138 million viewers. That is by far the most viewers that NBC has gotten so far inside of this new season here on the 19th day of the 2018-19 NITRO Television season. It's no surprise that NBC achieved those ratings as this was a matchup between two teams loaded with star talent on both sides of the football but this was a matchup mainly centered around the matchup of Milwaukee's star-studded defense led by their rookie linebacker Bridget Satterlee and her two supporting stars Nancy Nery and Bridget's bestie Natalie Ceretti. Milwaukee's defense is expected to be one of the top defenses in the league all season long as Bridget Satterlee did not disappoint in Milwaukee's home opener at Miller Park as she grabbed 16 tackles along with 2 sacks on Vika and grabbed two turnovers one was an interception that she returned for a game winning touchdown in overtime to end the game and the other was a forced fumble. She was a real nightmare to her ICE studiomate Quebec Nordiques rookie QB Vika Bronova as it seem like Bridget Satterlee was everywhere on the field in this game. This was a game where the defense won over the high-powered Quebec Nordiques offense as Nancy Nery who plays safety made sure no big plays got made on secondary and that proved to be the difference in the game as the Millers held onto win 23-17. Quebec's hard schedule continues next week for their home opener in Montreal against an angry Boston Hoods team.

ANOTHER THRILLING OVERTIME VICTORY

Speaking of an angry Boston Hoods team they had probably the second biggest star-studded matchup of the day as they faced an ultra-talented Detroit Fury team for their home opener at historical Fenway Park. The Hoods feature seven very well-known rookies in the Alfonso sisters Hope, Demi, and Talia along with their teammates Darcy Barnes, Kirin Scarpello, Mila Gunz, and their young Head Coach Jessica Clements. The Fury feature big rookie names of their own led by their big strong arm QB Janet Moore and her teammates Patrick Westbrook, Marissa Robertson, Stephie Argelich, Margarita Zalejska, Gigi Midgley, Teena Schneider, the terrifying Jezebel James, and their young Head Coach Kate Grigorieva. Janet Moore had herself a challenge going up against that nasty Boston defense but Janet Moore was still a monster throwing for 373 yards and 4 touchdowns as she was able to escape Fenway Park by throwing the game winning touchdown to her favorite receiver Nancy Kimmell who caught the pass in overtime to help the Fury win the game 40-34. Nancy caught 2 of the Janet's 4 touchdown passes in this shootout. The game itself was a huge draw in the early window for ICE grabbing 120.24 million viewers which would be the biggest numbers in NITRO history for a program that aired before 3pm.

We may very well could see all four of these teams the Millers, Fury, Hoods, and Nordiques face each other again in the playoffs.

MALENA MORGAN GETS INVOLVED IN A SHOOTOUT IN THE BATTLE OF FLORIDA AS BELLA THORNE CATCHES 3 TOUCHDOWNS

For the home fans down in Tampa Bay they finally got a chance to see their superstar QB Malena Morgan at home for the first time since the 2013 season. They had to wait 5 long years to see their girl play the game of football bu the day finally came as Malena helped rescue their dying season that year and now is expected to compete for a playoff spot right out of the gate. In the WFL Game of the Week we had Jacksonville Stripes rookie running back Jasmine Sanders taking on Malena Morgan of Tampa Sol at Raymond James Stadium on ROD. Neither star disappointed as Jasmine Sanders in a losing effort ran all over that Sol defense picking up 233 yards on the ground and 3 touchdowns for her team including a huge 82-yard during the first half of the game as she was putting on a show but unfortunately Jasmine's defense let her down as they couldn't stop Malena's aerial attack as Malena Morgan threw for 455 yards in the air and 5 touchdowns. The gunslinger quarterback threw a dramatic game winning pass to Bella Thorne who had already 2 touchdowns before that in the game giving her a total of 3 touchdowns. For the fans in Tampa it was a dramatic way to finish off their in-state rivals under the primetime 7pm lights. Tampa won the game with 15 seconds remaining in regulation 38-31. The game was a huge winner on ROD scoring the 2nd best numbers of the day with 125.86 million viewers and we will have the 7pm overrun numbers later when the primetime numbers are in.

In other action around the league we had the Terrible Twins taking care of business against Minnesota 28-10 at home as Jesalyn Moe is a savage shutdown corner grabbing 3 picks in this game. The Icegals looked strong against an inferior opponent for their home opener as their rookie receive Penny Perchik was a straight monster in this game catching 12 balls for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns in this game to help the Icegals win 45-6 against the Lake Erie Harmonies. The Norwood Octans looked great against Washington as they will be getting Michi Kat Grimes in two weeks on the field when she's released from prison next week. The amazing week for Eva Adams continued though as the Norwood safety grabbed 11 tackles in this game and was a beast against Washington's passing game as she got 1 interception and returned it for a touchdown along with 6 pass deflections in this game helping her Octans win the game 30-7.

For the middle games we saw a complete old school defensive battle between Dinah Jeter and the New York Hitmen and Chicago Enforcers for Chicago's home opener at Wrigley Field. The difference in this game was Gia Jolie's fumble return for a touchdown to give Chicago the lead with 3 minutes to go in the 4th quarter and New York couldn't recover despite an awesome day from their defense losing 14-12. Anaheim is like a semi-talented version of the Los Angeles Stars but they played like they had more talent than LA as they took care of business against the Houston Oilers 35-14 down in the space city. Anaheim QB Anna Herrin was a beast in this game throwing for over 400 yards and 5 touchdowns that was enough to shut Rocky Barnes and this Oilers team down. Miami's cannon arm quarterback Paige Reifler did just enough in this game edge the Colorado Boulders in their home opener at Marlins Park 20-14 although Colorado has some pretty good talent on their team that will get better.

The last afternoon game to breakdown was the Las Vegas Dice decisive 41-9 win over the Atlanta Legacies as the Van Der Beek sisters and Liz Turner struggles in the desert to defeat the Dice. The Dice's talent defense was overpowering in this game and Aisha Williams along with her little sister Kate Li Williams did enough to put this team away. Kate Li Williams plays running back for the Dice and she garnered 133 yards on the ground and 2 touchdowns while her quarterback Santana Shields threw for 344 yards and 3 touchdowns in this game.

Tonight we have Sunday Night Football as Strawberry Shields takes on the Los Angeles Stars in a huge matchup for NBC with a special primetime edition of Drama's Place airing behind the game. The NGIT Pageant has a huge night of auditions as they make their hallmark visit to New York City the site where they found talent like Nia Seymour and Dinah Jeter on this trip and after the first TV movie premiere of the season on any network as ICE airs the thriller Secret Auntie starring Ashlynn Yennie. ROD will rollout their hit drama trio Eight Is Enough, Baywatch, and Pretty Thieves surrounded around early evening and late night WFL action.

On the ratings side, ICE and ROD were solid and for NBC they made a great decision to repeat Heather but one thing that Proxio pointed yesterday for Saturday's daytime report was that Sarah & Kate King's ratings were questionable because of the WFL boost so we saw the real numbers I believe on Sunday morning and they weren't impressive at all. Brandon Lewis' pregame show is doing pretty well although Women's Sports Club and ROD NFL Sunday have way more viewers but he has the weakest lead-in as well. The post-game show with Kelly and Jennifer is tough to judge as those numbers look awful because they lost over 100 million viewers after the game which is the most I think I've seen in the history of NITRO. I do believe because of how hard it is to compete against the WFL, I don't think the performance should be judged too harshly as there's really nothing that NBC can put there that will do that much better.

Now for the WFL action it was an interesting week 1 of games and it looks like Bridget Satterlee could be one of the leaders of the NITRO rookie of the year already as she's clearly the best defensive player in the league as Vika Bronova's offense is one of the better passing attacks in the league and she stopped it. I was surprised that New York lost to Chicago but both teams defensively look amazing. Anaheim is a team to keep an eye on in the Nancy Football Conference. The Icegals and Fury are loaded with talent and they might be the two best teams in the Allison Football Conference.

Eva Adams is having a huge week and she's gonna be a superstar in Norwood this season and ICE made a great decision drafting her as well. Penny Perchik is turning into a monster as well gotta keep an eye on her all year long.

That's why I love seeing what happens in the WFL it really shows you which rookies were worth picking up.

My whole thinking when I drafted my girls was that I wanted them to emulate my first set of stars Allison Shields, Tracy Kimmell, Maxie Justice, and many others who started their careers well-known for their athletic careers in the beginning. So far a majority of my draft picks are displaying that as I'm learning this week who's going to be the most valuable rookies on my roster.

I remember how critical RTN was of Bridget Satterlee and if they were still around today I wonder what their reaction would be for being so wrong about her right now. I knew Bridget Satterlee was going to be a beast and it just made it easier on me to draft her but I'm also happy that RTN left because I was able to grab Janet Moore from them and she's looking like a huge future star as well.

Eva Adams is probably the one rookie who shined the most this week as she had a great week on the athletic side and the TV side. It was a great showing for her against Washington and now it looks like Penny Perchik is going to be a valuable pick for me as well.

The WFL is a great tool to see which rookies stand out from the rest.
