STRAWBERRY SHIELDS FINISHES OFF STAYING ALIVE'S PREMIERE WEEK IN STYLE
Strawberry Shields had a huge presence on this third edition of Kelly Green Fridays this season as she helped give Love in the Afternoon Live's its highest ratings of all-time as for the first time in the show's history it was able to become the most watched program of the entire day on Friday reaching 58.83 million viewers that was enough to put it on top as no other programs finished above 60 million viewers. This was the first time this season that the Kelly Green Friday block did not reach over 60 million viewers but even with that being said the lineup was still strong enough to hold off ROD and NBC by a huge margin. Strawberry Shields was on Love in the Afternoon Live to help promote her new daytime soap Staying Alive which caps off a historical debut week in daytime. Based on its performances this week it looks like Staying Alive is going to be around for a very long-time and be a problem for the other networks looking to counter-program that 3pm hour. The Love in the Afternoon daytime soaps are already the strongest in NITRO including the All My Children reboot which airs outside of the actual afternoon soap block. ICE will not need to fix their block for a while although the network did say their work isn't done as they could bring in another soap in the future. The network is keeping an eye on Star 80 for now as the network said that they plan on investing in shortening some of their soaps to 30 minutes long in the future maybe even possibly later this season so stay tuned for that news there. So far LA Passions over on ROD has been successful in the half-hour format the past two seasons. The Herbert Twins made a splash on Tahj & Arielle and Pyper America's talk shows as they had their first live television interviews today and people seemed really interested in this dangerous twin combo who made a splash on Tuesday on the last edition of Team ICE this fall. On the other networks, ROD had a solid day as Hunter & Kacey continues to be the standout for them and on the soap side Sunset Beach is still looking healthy. Although ROD's soaps are not doing nowhere near as well as the ICE soaps they are comfortable with their steady numbers and they're a cut above NBC's soaps. Tracy Kimmell continues to perform well for them as well as her show is the real deal as this was the 8th episode of the season for her new show.
NBC is still a mixed bag as their strong tough remains their morning soaps but NBC seems to be one soap away from catching up to ROD. They need to find a soap that can get Sunset Beach type ratings. The House That Love Built has done well next to Drama's Place to start this new season. Terri Shields name trended on the internet today including Twitter after the announcement that she would be joining the cast of the hit sitcom Rachel soon and her twin sister Allison will do a 4-episode story arc for November Sweeps so look for Rachel to heat up even more in primetime. This buzz was enough to lift her variety show to over 16 million viewers at 7pm and beat the struggling ROD game show Jackpot.
Tonight pageant auditions continue in Jacksonville for the New Girls in Town Pageant and that's pageant country down there so expect for NITRO find one of its next big southern belles down there while over on ROD their new boss Lucy Hale's new variety show enters in its new timeslot at 8:30pm tonight for them and Miss ROD hits the Motor City in Detroit right after that at 9pm. Over on NBC, Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Baldwin talk about Sterling Knight later in the night.

Really happy to see NITRO back man I missed this game as I had to get refamiliar with everything but right now nothing on my network is below 10 million viewers so that's the good thing but it definitely can be improved.

I'm happy to see NITRO back as well and Staying Alive had a really great premiere week. ICE's soap block is in terrific shape right now.
