MATCH THOUGHTS
ICE has been snake-bitten the last couple of weeks in basketball as they've lost both games on buzzer-beaters and this time it came from a new rival in Team NBC's newest weapon Chase Carter.
Chase Carter is special and could be NBC's best rookie since Gabrielle Shields was drafted back in 2010 as she has been impressive athletically in basketball and football to start her young career.
Chase Carter scored 39 points and dished out 13 assists in her official NITRO athletic debut as she was a menace in that backcourt with ROD's top draft pick Gigi Hadid who added in 25 points like her idol Kobe Bryant.
Northern's frontcourt weapons Sean Thompson and Erika Kundrotaite combined for 32 rebounds as Sean grabbed 22 of them in his debut but for Erika this was bitter sweet after being traded by ICE last week.
Kris Wu was a beast off of the bench grabbing 16 points in place of Shane Tovar who was poisoned unfortunately by the team he was supposed to play.
Although ICE lost this game they are very close to winning their first game as Jesalyn Moe was impressive with 33 points and Talia Scoggins-Alfonso getting 27 points this week.
Carmela Rose who was inserted into the starting lineup gave ICE a good defender on the floor and she posted 18 points of her own in her debt.
Pat Riley believes the team will start winning at some point but they are aware that they're off to a tough 0-3 start and need to improve.
ICE holds at 5 victories over Northern who has now gained 2 victories as we have hockey as the last result from this afternoon.
