VEGAS SHOWGIRLS & DIAMOND GIRLS HELP ICE TO SATURDAY VICTORY
ICE didn't have the WFL or Xtina Grimmie Hour and still won on Saturday night and not mention they didn't have anything new airing from 8-10pm except for a behind the scenes sneak peek of their newest daytime soap Staying Alive which premieres on Monday afternoon.
Paige Van Buren is off to a great start as ICE's newest Head Bitch in Charge as ICE has 7 wins and 33 points way out in front of ROD and NBC.
A repeat of Truck Ladies led the night and had 16 million more viewers than that Cherry Street Boarding School garbage that they cancelled just last week. Staying Alive's sneak peek was over 60 million leading into Vegas Showgirls which was up from last week's premiere getting 120 million viewers this week as Vegas Showgirls looks to be a real threat on Saturday nights and can get stronger throughout the season especially once the WFL season is over because we noticed it went up when the WFL was done at 11pm over on ROD.
A lot of people were worried about Saturday Night Diamond Girls being taped last night and not live on Saturday which means spoilers were out there for viewers but it still got watched getting 111.4 million viewers destroying Sheila Carter over on ROD so Diamond Girls will be A-okay taping episodes on Friday nights this fall.
In late night the premiere of ICE's newest porn show Neta in 4K starring their rookie Neta Alchemist who could be seen in the nude in Ultra HD tops all of the porn shows on ROD and NBC in that hour.
The other big story on Saturday was how NBC edged ROD again this time in primetime picking up two points tonight averaging 70.90 million viewers to ROD's 70.88 million so ROD for the first time this season finished in last place in both daytime and primetime on the same day so not a good Saturday for Lucy Hale and company and a pretty good day for the first day of SBC as NBC.
XTINA GRIMMIE HOUR IS RED HOT FOR NBC
NBC led off with Xtina Grimmie Hour and this was the huge difference as the Carpenters Hour junior competition beat the premiere of WFL Saturday Night Football.
Xtina Grimmie Hour got 126 million viewers which up from last week just like Vegas Showgirls. Xtina Grimmie Hour was a great acquisition for NBC as it now becomes NBC's second highest rated program behind the WFL.
Where things get difficult for NBC is right at 10pm this is where viewers change the channel from channel 4 to either channel 5 or 7 to watch the 4th quarter of the WFL game on ROD or the start of Vegas Showgirls on ICE. A lot of Xtina Grimmie viewers are likely big fans of the NITRO draft scene so they'll probably switch from Xtina Hour to Vegas Showgirls.
NBC rang in their NBC era with a new celebration special but this show dropped hard getting only 58% retention behind Xtina Hour which is way below the 70% retention mark.
NBC dropped from here as there was little to no interest in The Bowling Show as bowling is no longer a Battle of the Network Stars sporting event and The Late Night Show. NBC has struggled in late night to start the season but their porn showcase did grow at 3am but still lost to ROD's porn hour.
ROD could've beaten NBC and avoided last place if there late night portion of their schedule gets fixed. Saturday Night Football started the night off right at 106 million viewers but Wheel of Fortune performed terribly behind it getting only 55% retention. Australian Nights is really struggling which really brought down Sheila Carter which was under 80 million viewers for the first time in a while as Sheila Carter is on an island by itself right now and trailed Steffy Forrester this week so Jacqueline MacInnes Wood can claim victory on this one.
Tomorrow NBC can get either 2-4 points to jump in front of ROD tomorrow for 2nd place in the season standings and maybe pickup its 3rd win if it can hold off ICE who starts the night with the Dallas Cowgirls facing the Toronto Icegals. ICE premieres Self-Defense tomorrow night after the NGIT Pageant. NBC has Sunday Night Football with Bridget Satterlee and the Milwaukee Millers going to Minneapolis to take on Amy Aasen and the Minnesota Viqueens. Pending NBC's decision they could be airing Seattle Mysteries again at 11pm after the game. ROD will have the second week of Eight Is Enough, Baywatch, and Pretty Thieves in front of WFL Late Night Football so ROD will be very competitive here.
