ICE BRINGS IN NEW LOGOS FOR THE PROBLEM CHILD ERA
It's a new era at ICE this season as the studio has gotten really young adding in a teen boss in Paige Van Buren to lead a bunch of draft picks into the future as they replace many stars this year like Allison Shields, Tracy Kimmell, Kya Summers, Barbara Palvin, Lucy Hale, and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood just to name a few. ICE has brought in more than a 100 new girls this season who will compete to be the top new ICE Starlets going into the future. The new image has been leaning towards new girls with bad attitude problems who are perceived as scary thugs and that's what ICE is aiming their future towards right now and to start this new era off it was time to rebrand the company and television network.
ICE is known as the "Studio of the Stars" because it was NITRO's first true studio with the most star power at one-time when Allison Shields led the way during NITRO's first televised season back in 2009-10 almost 10 full years ago. That gave the homegrown actresses that worked at ICE the group name the Starlets because they were NITRO's equivalent to Hollywood's Starlets during the golden age of cinema back in the 1920s through 1950s so people see these years as the golden age of NITRO and gave the young ICE actresses that nickname for their group.
ICE has unleashed their new line of logos as ICE has always been known as NITRO's blue studio but the company has incorporated Kelly Green since 2012 as a secondary color and even named an entire daytime block and primetime lineup after the color starting in 2013.
The new ICE logo has kept its design similar to the one that came out in 2012 with the wordmark spelling the studio's name ICE with the studio's signature star to replace the tittle dot over the ice. The star tittle was kept in place for the new logo but the difference is that a new secondary logo has launched where that star now sits beside the wordmark on the left-hand side to signify that the star is now a logo separate from the wordmark and not always used to be apart of the ICE wordmark. This is very similar to the 2012 reboot season alternate logo which featured the star on the left side of the wordmark so this was brought back for the new secondary logos. Paige Van Buren told the media that the star will be used a lot more on its own in this rendition of the new ICE logo than it was before. As a matter of fact, the star design is the same exact star design that was used in the previous logo. The circle design features what looks like cracks on the surface then imprinting with the star in the middle. The design is supposed to represent that star is some kind of gemstone or crystal that you can find in northern caves.
The star design was made by Jeffrey Tanner whose worked with Co-Owner Patrick Devine on all of the ICE logos dating back to 2009 when ICE started out as UPN then became ICE later that fall when the original owners of the studio the Icon Company sold the studio to the Octopussy Entertainment Group. Pat Devine dedicated the ICE name to the Icon Company for helping get the studio off the ground back in 2008. Jeffrey Tanner is a friend of Pat Devine from back in his hometown of Seattle, Washington and he has always kept him around to lead the studio's design work. Pat Devine wanted a new logo in place for his new CEO and not be tied with the logo that was originally made for the studio's previous CEO Jessica Lowndes. Paige told Pat though that she loved the old logo and said it just needs an update but the design should stay the same.
Pretty much what happened with this logo is that the design stayed the same but the font was changed from the Futuremoon font to the new La Oriental font that was designed with an Asian inspiration due to the number of rookies who had backgrounds in martial arts but give it a futuristic look since ICE was stepping into the future with their new roster. The new wordmark in the La Oriental font also has been given a white outline or outer glow surrounding the letters to give the wordmark more expression and definition.
ICE will now have the new logo for the first time ever presented in both colors the Icey Blue and Kelly Green colors for both renditions of each logo although the Kelly Green logo will act as an alternate logo to the primary Icey Blue logo.
ICE's slogan "Don't Turn Away, Turn On ICE Today" will remain intact for this season as Carpenters Hour contestant Jesalyn Moe will sing the new edition that will be played on ICE airwaves leading into the official debut of the new logo on Monday September 24, 2018, across all ICE television networks. Jesalyn Moe will be seen singing the song in a full-length commercial that will be played during The Carpenters Hour on Monday night.
The last iteration of the logo is the studio's The ICE Phederation logos which were launched back in 2012 with the new wordmark logo known for having an illustration of girls or in this case the ICE Starlets. That tradition continues as the old logo has been fully updated and made a little bit simpler as it's now featured in the new Kelly Green background with a picture of the illustration of Sallies Queen Sally McMillan when she was a teenager. Now people refer to Sally McMillan as the Logo like Jerry West in the NBA. The new ICE Phederation logo has a much simpler and cleaner design that's got a retro feel to it and we know Pat Devine loves a retro feel of the network. Paige is someone who loves old shit too and wanted her network to have that feel as there was a sense that Jessica Lowndes wasn't into the retro stuff as much but Paige Van Buren is about to bring it all back in the style of promos and everything this season as people have already noticed that ICE is heading towards that direction in the most recent promos shown on television.
Again all logos will be debut and activated officially on Monday, September 24, 2018, and will be used on the new Team ICE uniforms starting this Tuesday.
TEAM ICE UNVEILS NEW UNIFORMS FOR THE 2018-19 SEASON
ICE just unveiled their new logos and now to go with that are going to be some new uniforms for the Pheds.
ICE on Friday morning at the Nike Experience unveiled their new uniforms for that Team ICE will be sporting this season.
These uniforms were designed by H&M and are going to be outfitted by both H&M and Nike this season as apart of the apparel deal they originally signed back in 2013 to H&M and Nike collab on the designs of their uniforms. Currently, both companies also design the WFL uniforms that you see every Sunday as well. The contract that ICE has with Nike expires at the end of this season but it's expected that ICE will resign right back with Nike on a longer and more lucrative deal. H&M already currently owns The ICE Phederation but still has a contract signed with ICE and will have to extend their contract at the end of the season to continue their partnership with Nike.
About a total of 20 uniforms were presented at this morning's presentation to the public at Paramount Hall the site of tonight's Kelly Green Friday comedy tapings. There will be a total of 10 jersey tees, 6 basketball tank jerseys, and 4 hockey jerseys that will be presented in the form of sweatshirts. Team ICE plans to wear the jersey tees in every sport except for swimming, basketball, and hockey but the racing sports will have the option of using the tank top jerseys used in basketball for warm weather events.
All of these jerseys will be worn during episodes of Team ICE and Battle of the Network Stars all season long.
The cool thing about these new Team ICE jerseys is that they can be used by all of the athletes during non-Team ICE or Battle of the Network Stars telecast sporting events such as the individual athletes Summer Athletic Games exhibitions leading up to those 2020 time trials in June 2020. ICE's Wide World of Sports President Steve Walters did announce that starting in October that some of the ICE Starlets will have their first 2020 Summer Athletic Games tune-ups and they'll be wearing these shirts before donning their country's jerseys at the time trials.
The uniforms themselves will be paired with the jerseys and whatever jeans featuring long pants, capri pants, or shorts to be worn with them like in the WFL.

These are basically baby blue jerseys that are perfectly worn in warmer weather months. These uniforms will have Toronto read across the chest of these jerseys instead of East York which is the school that Team ICE represents in these high school league games this season or ICE itself but the font used for Toronto is the La Oriental font.

Early reviews have come in on the uniforms and people are in love with the look of these new jerseys saying that they're simple but very modern as well and many people think they're the best Team ICE uniforms to-date.
Many people have already started talking about what jeans and sneakers they're going to wear with these new jerseys as well many saying those white jerseys look crispy with some blue jeans and clean white sneakers. Team ICE is actually pairing that look up with some royal blue denim jeans and white sneakers. Then we got the Black Fridays that everybody's going crazy about because they can be paired with black jeans and black sneakers or white sneakers. The black jerseys have that Kelly Green Nike symbol making it look like the jersey glows in the dark and people are going crazy about that feature on the sides of the jersey.
The jerseys officially go on sale at many H&M and Nike shops and online on Saturday morning. Many stores online are already taking purchases on Friday and people who attended the event were able to get free jerseys at Paramount Hall this morning and anybody attending the Kelly Green Friday comedy tapings tonight will receive the jerseys for free as well and anybody attending the New Girls in Town Pageant auditions up in Norwood, New Brunswick tonight as well.
Sales for these jerseys will be coming out very soon!
LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON SOAPS TO HAVE TRIPLE TAPINGS ON FRIDAY AFTERNOONS
Ashley Benson who runs the daytime operations at ICE this season confirms that on Fridays for the rest of this fall that all of the soaps will tape both Monday and Tuesday episodes right after Friday's episode has been filmed.
With the ICE Starlets having busy schedules during the fall with the WFL and Team ICE practices during the week and games on Sundays, Mondays, or Tuesdays it forced Paige Van Buren to work with Ashley Benson on how to correct this problem and not sacrifice the appearances of their younger actresses appearing on Monday and Tuesday episodes. ICE has always filmed their soaps live at the same day and time they are on NITRO Television to get rid of spoilers leaking on the net taking ratings away from the network but the new grueling schedule which has already halted live road tapings for the primetime comedies and variety shows this fall has forced these changes.
What will happen is that on Fridays the Friday episode will still be taped live but after that episode is done airing live on ICE the soaps will then tape Monday and Tuesday's episodes right after that so that those episodes are in the can for Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday's episodes will remain taped live. During the second half of the season after the WFL is over the soaps will resume taping live on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Staying Alive which premieres on Monday will actually tape the pilot episode and Tuesday's episode on Friday afternoon and will have their first live taping session on Wednesday which will be the third episode of the series. The practice will resume next Friday for their first triple taping session of the fall.
Soaps Coordinator Ashleigh Brewer said that the taped episodes will be taped the same way the live episodes are with no retakes and taped fast as each soap are limited to a 3-hour window they have in each of the stages so that the next soap can come in and be on-time with their Friday episodes.
ICE uses three different stages for their soaps with the big one being inside of Easy York Secondary Academy's arts center where It's High Noon with Pyper America tapes her episodes at in the early afternoons and the other one being at a soundstage theater built inside of Paramount Hall and the other being live right inside of the actual arena where the Friday tapings will occur. Below we'll have the actual taping schedule for all five soap operas.
It was also announced that Saturday Night Diamond Girls due to the WFL will also not be live this fall as episodes will be taped on Friday nights at Paramount Hall in Toronto right after the Youth of Life tapings so the New Girls in Town Pageant auditions will take place in other cities during the same time while Saturday Night Diamond Girls is taped. Donny & Marie will now be taping on Friday nights right before the New Girls in Town Pageant auditions for those fans so Yulia Osmond will be able to be with her WFL team on Saturdays the night before the game. Donny & Marie will tape live on Saturdays before Vegas Showgirls starting in January or February along with Saturday Night Diamond Girls.
Media members and the fans aren't allowed to watch the tapings for Monday and Tuesday's episodes but can watch Friday's episode live but once that first intermission happens they will have to leave. At the Paramount Hall tapings are doors will be closed off to the public and at East York as well.

FRIDAY NIGHT FAMILY NIGHT GAME NIGHT TO BE REBRANDED IN 3 WEEKS
The new format this season has helped get "Friday Night Family Game Night" ratings way up this season ever since the format started to include at least two ICE Starlets guest starring in episodes. With this format working thus far Daytime President Ashley Benson wanted to spice things up throwing the show away and introducing a new one.
The new show will now be called "ICE Starlets vs. Cheerleaders" where five young ICE actresses will face five cheerleaders from the WFL or high school or college teams around the United States and Canada.
This game show will be unique as they will compete in different games every week some of them will be physical and some of them mental using their brains instead of brawn. Friday Night Family Game Night was very similar where contestants would compete in different games in each episode. Games have come from television game shows from the past like Family Feud, Beat the Clock, Match Game, Card Sharks, or other game shows of the past and some new to the show itself.
The idea of the show came during a meeting back in July where the ICE executive team was watching old episodes of Family Feud and there was an episode where the Dallas Cowboys football players went against the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders one week back in the early 80s and they immediately wanted to do a game show like that and modernize it. The original thought was to bring back Battle of the Sexes or Strip Happy Days and use this format but they instead wanted to use the ICE Starlets to go against different Cheerleader teams from around the states or Canada.
Every episode will be counted as a win or loss for both teams and it will be a best out of 5 matchups so the first team to 3 wins will win the battle and will have a chance to continue in the next episode to compete against the next ICE Starlets or Cheerleader teams. Every win will be counted as money for the teams competing as it can be used for themselves or for charities of their choice. The best teams will comeback for the last couple of months of the season to compete for a bigger grand prize in a tournament format.
Paige Van Buren says the episodes will continue to be in the hour-long format but due to syndication purposes, they'll be sold as half-hour programs so that networks can pickup the repeat rights and show them in half-hour formats making them easier to schedule for those networks. Game show based networks like GSN or Buzzr were already interested in picking up the replay rights to these shows according to the NITRO Officials who told ICE executives this information after the show reaches 90 episodes or more.
The episodes themselves will still air in an hour format each week live on ICE as the tapings will be shown to the public at East York Secondary Academy every Friday night live at 6:00pm.
The first five ICE Starlets to compete will be Nina Dobrev, Odessa Adlon, Samantha Hoopes, Ryan Newman, and Co-Owner AnnaLynne McCord for the first few episodes and they'll be going against the Dallas Cowgirls cheerleading team who will come to Toronto every week to play until they're eliminated.
The series will launch on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 6pm so that means that the October 19, 2018 episode could be the first possible elimination episode and if there's a fifth and deciding game that will take place on November 2, 2018.
The final episode of Friday Night Family Game Night will take place on Friday, September 28, 2018, the week before ICE Starlets vs. Cheerleaders is set to take place.
Paige Van Buren says the series will start going on the road during the 2nd half of the season and will likely remain on Fridays for the rest of the season.
The ICE Starlets will wear their new Team ICE jerseys to each episode to represent their group.
NEW ICE FOOTBALL STADIUM COMING ALONG WELL
We have a quick update on how things are coming along for the new Toronto Icegals and Team ICE football stadium which has been officially named "H&M Park" which is set to open next fall in 2019.
H&M Park was already in the plans back in 2016 when NITRO was originally set to officially comeback but due to another delayed season construction finally broke in the spring of 2017 and construction is right on schedule.
The new football stadium will be on the East York Secondary Academy campus and will be home to the Toronto Icegals, Team ICE, and the Toronto Maple Leaf Darlings of the NITRO Music Competitions.
H&M Park will seat about 69,000 people for football games and expand to 85,000 for music concerts and other floor seated events.
We'll have more updates on the new stadium throughout the season until its official opening next August.
DASHA DEREVIANKINA & EVA ADAMS HAVE A BIG WEEK ON TEAM ICE
It will be a very interesting episode of Team ICE this week as both Dasha Dereviankina and Eva Adams will be given opportunities to test their worth on the team just like Penny Perchik this past week who was the team's MVP this past week out in Norwood for the second episode of the season. Eva Adams will be the starting pitcher in baseball on the mound as she's expected to help fill in the shoes that Kya Summers left behind after Kya got traded this past week to ROD to join their team and studio. Eva Adams is expected to get a start in hockey and start as one of the three safeties in football during this episode. Eva Adams originally wasn't expected to be ready this early as she was drafted as a project but the two-year break since the draft helped speed her development much faster as she's worked with a few people to quicken up her development.
Dasha Dereviankina, on the other hand, was expected to be one of ICE's top leading athletes right out of the gate but she had such a bad training camp that led into a terrible performance in the first match of the season against Degrassi High. Dasha this past week was benched in every sport she participates in and thanks to Lenny Marks she was able to get back in the great graces of the coaching staff. She's gonna get her shot to do a Penny Perchik this week and try to rebound as Dasha will be back on the hockey team this week and she will be right next to Eva Adams as one of the starting safeties in football.
It will be a huge week for both Dasha and Eva as the competition on the team has heated up this year as a lot of girls are fighting for positions on the team.
Penny Perchik fought so hard last week after a bad first week that she was the best player on the team in the sports she participated in against Norwood. Penny didn't have as bad of an attitude as Dasha did so she wasn't benched according to Head Coach Paige Van Buren. Dasha's attitude got her bench last week and it sounds like Tammy Oldehoff is hoping to get back into the good graces of baseball Manager Samantha Hoopes after their continuous blowups throughout training camp and the first game of the season where Samantha Hoopes benched her.
Jesse Anzalone who was just picked up by ICE the first week of the season made a major impression taking a couple of jobs on the team and this has led to more positions being up for grabs.
The Herbert Twins are set to debut on Tuesday as well as Ivy will start on the hockey and football teams but the twin sisters already ran in the relay race this past week. Madison Herbert is expected to take the mound the following Tuesday after Eva Adams for her highly-anticipated debut. Madison Herbert also plays goalie in hockey and will be waiting for a week where Vika Bronova gets time off.
SBC and ROD will send their players to try and take down Team ICE in this episode so it will be interesting and as a reminder the new uniforms debut on this episode of Team ICE as well.
In other ICE news, the Pheds have picked up Luna Blaise who will join the cast of Jaime and The Wrong Students plus play in the WFL on Sundays for the Miami Sharks and Lina Esco will come to ICE instead of ROD to join ICE's Security Unit.
Kay Shields will do double-duty as she'll stay on the cast of Youth of Life with Paris Jackson and join her sister Strawberry Shields on the cast of DJ Becky's Friends on Wednesday nights starting in October. Kay Shields first practice run towards the 2020 Summer Athletic Games will be on Saturday, October 20, 2018, in daytime.
