It looks like Team ICE may have found their weakest team at BOTNS this year and it's their basketball team which is struggling badly right now in Allen Iverson's head coaching debut for the team.

There's been a lot of talk on social media and in the media itself about how the ICE starting lineup for basketball isn't the best it can be with Romeo Miller playing the point as he was rumored to be a coach this season but the coaching staff wanted him to play. The only real bright spot seems to be Erika Kundrotaite at Center but they do have some good players on the bench like Jesalyn Moe, Kelly Love, Joanna Halpin, and Neta Alchemist who are all fighting for playing time.

At the moment Team ICE trails Degrassi High 47-31 at the half and the news gets worse as Vanna Brown suffered a major injury in that second quarter.

It sounds like Vanna Brown may have suffered a torn ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season as the athletic side of her career this season is done. Up until this point ICE had been real healthy but the injuries are starting to mount up as ICE suffered a couple of injuries in hockey as well.

Vanna Brown was scheduled to be the lead player coming off the bench also known as the 6th man and replacing her will be Joanna Halpin at forward.

We'll have one more update to come on this game and it will be the final score and daytime ratings are scheduled to come after that next update.

Team ICE who represents East York lost to Degrassi High 106-78 with Joanna Halpin coming in for Vanna Brown off the bench to score 26 points and toss in 8 assists while Erika Kundrotaite at center scored 21 points and grabbed 13 boards.

MATCH THOUGHTS

ICE looked real bad today in basketball for the first time they were defeated in an event today and this season so this basketball game is going to be in everybody's going forward.

Everybody knows this is how you can pickup an easy win against ICE this season in any sport.

Team ICE has way too much talent even in basketball to be this bad but some of it has to do with the fact that the coaching staff needs to figure out the players themselves.

Most of the talent is either on the bench or on the inactive roster and not in the starting lineup as Erika Kundrotaite was the main starter who impressed the most today at center.

The bright spot came off the bench as Joanna Halpin took over in the second half to score 26 points after coming in for Vanna Brown who got injured badly and tore her ACL putting her out for the rest of the season.

This was ICE's first major injury of the season as they had been healthy up until this point and they also lost Jaden Smith who had to come out the game during the 4th quarter.

Going forward ICE will have to make some replacements and some lineup changes but some people are wondering about Allen Iverson as coach.

Pat Riley will have to make that decision as he comes out of retirement to lead this basketball team which historically has always been bad for ICE but Pat Riley previously ran SBC with Jay-Z back in 2010-12.

ICE now has 6 victories on Degrassi heading into this evening's contests. They have hockey as their last result from this afternoon.

ICE has historically never had great basketball teams, ROD always had the great basketball teams and SBC might be able to beat them because of Chase Carter and Meredith Mickelson.

ICE has a nice roster though they need to use more of that bench and the inactive roster. The starters are weak and I worry about Allen Iverson as a head coach but I think what Pat Riley should do is reevaluate everything after the meeting against the NITRO stars.

Joanna Halpin looking real good though and I think Jesalyn and Neta can play ball they just got to be used more and I remember ROD wanted Erika Kundrotaite so now I really know why he wanted her she's amazing at center.

This is the one sport where I know for damn sure I can beat ICE in and I'm just hoping before we meet in October that you guys don't figure things out by then.

That is enough time for ICE to figure things out like I was saying they have a nice roster they just have to put everything together which may take some weeks.

I believe the basketball team will be much improved by October but I do want to see how they do against the NITRO stars in a couple of weeks before I make massive changes so I can get a sense of what lineup needs to be in there.
