NO LIVE ROAD TAPINGS FOR ICE COMEDIES THIS FALL
Brand new ICE Phederation CEO Paige Van Buren is going to take what her team complained about the season before when Jessica Lowndes was running the show and not run live comedy tapings on the road this fall due to the WFL season. Since a good amount of ICE Starlets especially the rookies are all in the league, Paige says the actors won't have time to commit to a day to spend outside of Toronto to tape their sitcoms on the road. Many girls complained last season that it was too much travel and that they had no time to practice with their teams to prepare for Sunday's games. Paige doesn't want to make that mistake again this season so she's keeping the entire studio at home in Toronto during the first half of the season.
This will allow the actors to continue to tape their sitcoms live from one location and not take extra flights during the week to go back-and-forth to different cities while trying to practice with their teams a couple of times a week and traveling out of town to tape dramas making the girls very fatigued and very tired. Paige wants every girl well rested before they tape these comedies this season.
There will be no live road tapings for ICE sitcoms until February after the WFL season is over so all of the comedies and most of the variety shows will be taped from home in Toronto.
Talent competitions like New Girls in Town Pageant, The Carpenters Hour, Vegas Showgirls, or Teen Athlete will continue to tape on the road live because those contestants aren't professionals yet and don't have any real commitments outside of competing on those shows.
Another huge change is that WFL teams will practice in Toronto during the week so that the coaches and players can practice together as a team during the week leading up to games. The other teams with SBC, RTN, or ROD players on them will practice in their cities.
Paige Van Buren said this should lead to a more productive studio and keep the actors at home more often during the week, unlike previous seasons where they've been on the road a lot more and tired and fatigued. The 2nd half of the year sets up more opportunities to start taping on the road more as the girl's schedules will free up with only the NITRO Music Competition being their biggest commitment as ICE will not start any new sporting leagues this season. ICE will be going on vacation for a month during the winter to rest up for the 2nd half grind of the season and to focus on training camp for the NITRO Music Competition.
