NEW FALL SERIES DESCRIPTIONS

Truck Ladies (Mondays at 8:00 PM)

A group of young women decides to start their own trucking company in an effort to solve a mystery of how one of their own vanished from sight while working as a truck driver earlier in the year. Along the way they crackdown on corrupt drivers who have something they want to hide as they continue to search for their friend. (Crime Drama)

Team ICE (Tuesdays at 8:00 PM)

If you're an ICE fan this is the show for you as you get to see up close and personal throughout the season how The ICE Phederation prepares athletically for their upcoming Battle of the Network Stars events. Brand new head coach Paige Van Buren leads the charge every week live in primetime for two hours showing viewers at home how they get ready for games and you can see live scrimmages and exhibitions of the team competing against each other. (Sports)

The Wrong Students (Wednesdays at 9:00 PM)

A couple of recently released juvenile delinquents at a Detroit high school cause chaos and danger as they start murdering staff members and other students left and right. Now the police have to figure out which students are committing the murders and how to stop more from happening as the school year continues. (Crime Drama)

DJ Becky's Friends (Wednesdays at 11:00 PM)

Rebecca Martin who goes by her stage name DJ Becky gets an offer to start performing in Toronto so she moves from Detroit to Toronto and moves into an apartment building with a few people who soon become her trust net as she acclimated to a new city and country. (Sitcom)

Teen Athlete (Thursdays at 8:00 PM)

The newest talent competition in NITRO's Rookie Draft system comes to a show that focuses on teenagers aged 13-19 who compete against each other for a full season in athletic sporting events to win their way to a big shoe and apparel contract. All of the contestants who make it to the competition are drafted in the next Rookie Draft event as well. (Reality Competition)

Staying Alive (Weekdays at 3:00 PM)

Based on the 1983 hit film "Staying Alive" comes the television adaption about young New Yorkers who look to advance their dance career on the professional level. On that road to stardom in their profession comes a bunch of road bumps that keeps the journey impossible to hit at times. Strawberry Shields stars in primetime turned daytime soap opera. (Soap Opera)

Self-Defense (Thursdays at 9:00 PM)
This is a serious drama about a group of women who were harmed in some way in their lives by either men or women physically and they all take action by joining a class with one of the best senseis on the west coast. Through their training and improvement in defending themselves, they seek to get back at those who did them wrong or others who are in trouble. (Crime Drama)

Cherry Street Boarding School for Girls (Thursdays at 11:00 PM & Saturdays at 8:00 PM)

All of the edgy drama that you can think of that teens go through are captured inside of this story of a bunch of females who attend a boarding school in Australia called Cherry Street Boarding School for Girls. The boarding school features girls from a number of different backgrounds but together it's all chaos as these girls live a tough life trying to balance their secondary education and the social struggles around them. Starring Australian actresses Vikky Lee, Mackinley Summers, and Alden Steimle. (Soap Opera)

Donny & Marie (Saturdays at 9:00 PM)

A reboot of the hit 70s variety series "Donny & Marie" is bought back to life 40 years later this time brother and sister combo Donny & Marie Osmond are joined by their talented niece and nephew combination of Yulia & Joel Osmond who will perform a wide variety of numbers and comedy sketches on the show. Donny & Marie will be taped live on Saturday nights before "Vegas Showgirls" in front of the same audience who is watching that show. (Variety)

Vegas Showgirls (Saturdays at 10:00 PM)

This talent competition features NITRO draft prospects who will compete against each other all season long in a wide variety of theatrical Las Vegas related competitions featuring mainly dancing routines. Vegas Showgirls was designed to showcase the talents of all of the girls in the competition who will have to display these attributes when they become professionals in the NITRO Television industry. (Reality Competition)

The new ICE season begins on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 8pm/7c on NITRO Television channel 7.

I worked on my schedule today and finally finish but this schedule threw me off because I had to move some stuff around as I wasn't expecting some of these moves. I do believe that Paige Van Buren might be a slightly better scheduler than Jessica Lowndes as this schedule seems to make a lot more sense than the shit she threw out there but it didn't matter because ICE was cooking in the ratings anyways.

I'm worried about Truck Ladies stealing viewers from Dallas Cowgirls Undercover as I'm going to really need those MNF viewers to tune in and stay away from Truck Ladies.

Tuesdays don't look too difficult as I'm going with a country block so that should be total counter-programming but my comedy block might share viewers with Team ICE.

Wednesdays looks tough even on SBC too as I'm worried about this one but luckily the comedy block is airing later instead of directly against mines.

Thursdays looks like it might be the weakest night of the week for you guys so my pageants should be able to rule there.

Fridays was tricky but NGIT Pageant airing later worked out so I could air my soaps straight through there but this will be super competitive.

On Saturdays, Sheila Carter against Saturday Night Diamond Girls will be very interesting that could be very competitive.

I think on Sundays whether it was going to be The Carpenters Hour or not I think Baywatch was going to be competitive either way but I wanted Pretty Thieves away from it because I want this to really succeed and I'm glad you guys are airing TV movies there that should help Pretty Thieves better against Sunday Night Football.

Overall this was a solid schedule I'm interested to see what SBC finishes up with and whenever RTN comes in I want to see how their stuff effects us.

I'm sure it threw you guys off for sure but I wanted to make sure the talent competitions were placed next to each other on the right nights. I gotta admit ROD your schedule looks pretty good this season that might be the best schedule you guys ever posted as you guys didn't make it easy on us at all.

I am James Scoop. These are my opinions on ICE's line up throughout the week. If you don't like my neutral comments then I don't care.

Monday looks a great line up for ICE. We have Trucker Ladies at 8pm which looks like a great show. I think it will perform well at the 8pm time slot. The Carpenters hour at 9pm is strong. Going up against MNF will take some viewers away from The Carpenters hour though. Could weaken it a little. Overnight Nurses is a consistent show without being overly strong.

Tuesday night is an interesting night. Rumors going around that this is a weak night for ICE. I have to disagree with that last comment as I can't see an out and out weakness on Tuesday. Team ICE has the ability to be quite powerful. The problem I see with this show though is if the game half way through at 9pm is one sided to ICE then viewers will tune out. Viewers will tune into something different if the game is a blowout so ICE will have to be careful there. I have always been a fan of Kelly's Thugs and Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch. I don't see a weakness here unless the ICE team game is totally one sided.

Wednesday night from ICE looks to be very strong. Teen Angels is a good lead in. The Wrong Student at 9pm looks to be a strong show. The Adult Years into Bastard Kids is a strong hour and a half. The only possible let down is DJ Becky and Friends. I am not sure how it tested if ICE tested the program in the down time we had. It could struggle but it has great lead ins to make sure it doesn't happen. Angry Landlords is a great finish.

Thursday from ICE could be a weak night for them. It sort of depends on how Teen Athlete leads into Staying Alive. Janit O'Day we know is always strong so that will resurrect the night if the other shows fail. Cherry Street is one of the most interesting premieres this year. The first show sold by RTN airing on ICE. Can ICE bring life to Cherry Street or will Cherry Street flop?

Friday night should be an ICE win. Jamie starting out, I don't know to much about the show or how it rated last time. Molly in South Philly is strong followed by Young Girls then Youth of Life. The biggest show at 10pm where ICE should win the night is New Girls in Town Pageant. This is what will win ICE the night as we know this Pageant show knocksout every other show competing against it. Who Wanted Nichole Dead is a strong finish.

Saturday night for ICE looks weak. Cherry Street into Donny and Marie into Vegas Showgirls. Cherry Street needs to lead out here and be strong otherwise Donny and Marie will suffer bad which will hurt Vegas Showgirls. This looks a night where the other networks need to attack ICE as ICE is vulnerable here.

Sunday night looks a bit up and down for ICE. WFL run over starts the night. The Day, I don't know how strong that is compared to other shows. The Pageant will help massively lift this weaker night. The movie at the end of the night will weaken ICE some Sundays as well. ICE doesn't look that strong here either.

Best Night: Friday night. Can anyone beat that line up which includes the Pageant.

Weakest Night: Saturday night looks weaker with Cherry Street untested at 8pm and Donny and Marie at 9pm.

Great stuff here again with James and I agree with most of his thoughts here as well as I think Paige Van Buren might've made some rookie mistakes here towards the end of the week.

Mondays are going to be interesting as that's a tough schedule toe to toe as this reminds me of Sundays for ICE with them going against Sunday Night Football with their top talent competitions as James Scoop you've been right it all depends on the games that are scheduled that's going to influence those WFL ratings. I think the most interesting battle of the week between two scripted shows is going to be Truck Ladies versus Dallas Cowgirls Undercover because both shows are very similar and could draw viewers away from each other that's a big-time showdown and both have huge lead-outs.

Tuesdays definitely don't look weak but you made an interesting point though if there's a blowout that might lead people to change the channel and I know our schedule is competitive and SBC has a good competitive schedule too so ICE has to be careful there. I think ICE should've actually scheduled Team ICE for entire night instead of having part of it air in daytime that way they could showcase the other sports if they had a blowout they could switch over to a more competitive score and football could've closed the night so if there was a blowout at 11:00pm it's not going to hurt them as much as it would at 9:00pm when you've still got shows to air behind it but luckily for ICE that Kelly's Thugs and Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch are very strong dramas who can probably lift themselves.

Wednesdays are going to be tough this might be the most competitive night of the week depending on what RTN throws at us. I'm actually worried about SBC here when they throw out their horror dramas because the first two hours are directly against some high-profile dramas from ICE. I think SBC should move Heather back an hour and finish the night with His Favorite Niece. ICE has a solid late night comedy block but DJ Becky's Friends is an unknown test here could flop on them but I think casting is important for it.

I had Thursdays as my weak night here everything is untested and unproven here except for Janit O'Day it looks like this night is going to have to be rescued by Janit O'Day. Not sure how Teen Athlete will do leading off but I actually got Staying Alive down as a potential flop and cancellation for ICE and at least Cherry Street Boarding School will be protected on the back end by Janit O'Day but I'm not sure how that's going to perform either.

Fridays are definitely ICE's strongest night for sure I can't see anything on this night failing here but they need a better lead-off program than Jaime. New Girls in Town Pageant will rule this night all on its own.

Saturdays is another weak night for me as ICE seems to be very confident in Cherry Street Boarding School now having it lead-off and Donny & Marie could flop after it but Vegas Showgirls should be strong enough to pickup the pieces but ICE has to watch out for its lead-ins though.

Sundays are the same as Mondays as I believe The Day is just like The OT for us a WFL post-game show or a show where the game bleeds over the max time. ICE Sunday Night Movie is going to be weak I think ICE didn't want to be too aggressive after the pageant with Sunday Night Football as its opponent during the fall so maybe they'll change this up later in the year.

I agree Fridays are the best night while competition between Thursdays and Saturdays looks like the weakest. I think Paige can make some changes here and she will make some after the ratings come out over the next few weeks.

I think ICE can be attacked some of these days. Thursday and Saturday for sure can be attacked due to looking weak at this stage. We don't have any idea on Cherry Street's numbers though. Cherry Street could be a massive top ten of all time hit which makes our comments redundant. Your comments on Truck Ladies stealing some viewers away from Dallas Cheerleaders, I disagree with. If I was at home and the MNF match was one I wanted to watch, I would watch Dallas Cheerleaders. If the MNF was one I wouldn't watch then I would watch Dallas Cheerleaders. The reason being that why watch one episode of another show if I am invested in Dallas Cheerleaders. I would watch Truck Ladies if I wasn't interested at all in MNF.

That's how I see it my schedule came out after ICE released theirs but Thursdays and Saturdays stuck out as weak nights for them. ICE always has a night or two that can be attacked and those are the key nights of the week to be dominant like I'm going to wait and see how the ratings play out and find their weaknesses and attack them. Right now Saturdays are trickier than they look because SBC has the Xtina Grimmie Hour the first two hours and if Vegas Showgirls hits hard that rules out those two hours to follow. My original plan was put Baywatch and Pretty Thieves on Saturdays but then I forgot about SBC having The Xtina Grimmie Hour and didn't want to throw them in there.

Cherry Street Boarding School looks like ICE's biggest wild card on the schedule it can hit or miss very easily I think if it hits it will really hit and if it misses it will really miss and open up two timeslots on ICE's schedule.

I see your reasoning on the DCU versus Truck Ladies battle as that was my main key to scheduling it in front of Monday Night Football I think the MNF viewers will watch it and that's why I wanted it there instead of anywhere else because that was the advantage it had there. Truck Ladies will have to get its viewers from The Carpenters Hour. ICE did a slightly dirty but smart move they have it premiering in front of MNF the first Monday of the season to try and draw Dallas Cowgirls and other WFL fans that first week but that's why I'm waiting the following week to premiere DCU when MNF makes its ROD debut so I can see if viewers will rather checkout the DCU premiere over Truck Ladies instead and hopefully if they like DCU they'll forget about Truck Ladies which works in our favor.

This is definitely a battle that's never been done before in NITRO as there's a lot of strategy going into this battle. I'm not trying to sound overly cocky here but ICE might want to move Truck Ladies if DCU hits because both shows are similar and Truck Ladies could get lost. I had a suggestion for ICE but I don't want ICE to see it because they might end up seeing it and do the move if Truck Ladies struggles.

My hope is that RTN puts something strong on Mondays at 8:00pm to take Truck Ladies down even further. Too bad SBC placed Jaws there instead of something stronger.

I agree with you guys on everything here as Truck Ladies is going to have a tough opponent in DCU.

Thursdays will be a weak night for us but I did make a quick change with Self-Defense taking 9pm and Staying Alive going to daytime to become a weekday soap.

Saturdays right now should be alright with Vegas Showgirls but the lead-ins are questionable.

Yessir ROD you're right Sundays will change during the 2nd half of the season I'm just waiting for the WFL season to end but I know New Girls in Town Pageant will more than hold its own.

If Truck Ladies isn't performing at a level where you're accepting of it you should move it maybe switch it with Teen Athlete.

Honestly, your Thursdays would be one of the top nights of the week on the other networks it's just these programs have tough competition.

Yeah, I think Saturdays are going to be okay for you guys I think Vegas Showgirls will be strong enough to pick itself up.

It looks like Sundays will change the most of any night this season.

This is a very interesting lineup a little bit different from what ICE usually offers kind of surprising with some of the slots. It looks like the schedule has been worked around the weekend's offerings of several talent competitions as a comedy block was taken out for the added hours here.

Mondays look really strong here but the question will be how Truck Ladies does against Dallas Cowgirls Undercover this will either be a victory or a problem no in between. The rest of the night is proven and strong.

Team ICE gives Tuesdays a lift but Kelly's Thugs and Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch are so steady they will do well although competition has increased them which could take them down from last season and there's the questions about who takes over as the lead for CMDB for Jessica Lowndes. ICE has a shot to win this night.

I think Wednesdays could very well end up being one of ICE's top nights of the week I see them finish in first here as the two dramas look really strong and the comedy block will have a nice finish as they just have to hope DJ Becky's Friends hits for them.

Thursdays are the weakest night but I think this night will improve as the season goes along here. Janit O'Day is very important to Cherry Street Boarding School but this show is interesting if it flops or not. I think if it flops then ICE should move it to daytime and do what they did with Staying Alive for it.

Fridays is Kelly Green Fridays so you know how this is going to go and I hear ICE has strengthened up all four its comedies with casting changes to add the high-profile rookies in so this could be a nice performing block and remember TGIF on SBC did very well here last season so I think comedy viewers will takeover this night.

Saturdays look weird for ICE not sure how these other shows are gonna do outside of Vegas Showgirls. I think Vegas Showgirls will do enough to salvage enough plus late night seems to be solid.

ICE seems to be planning for changes on Sundays later in the season but the NGIT Pageant will do its thing but the ICE Sunday Night Movie seems like a placeholder.


This is a nice scheduling job by new CEO Paige Van Buren I'm interested to see how it turns out but ICE should be ready for increased competition this season and for some shows to decline a little bit but there are some other ones that will get even stronger.
